Dying a quick death. Death is a once in a lifetime experience, I think I'd like to know when it was happening. BTW what difference would it make how much worse a quick death would be since you wouldn't be able to realize it seeings you were dead?

Im not sure what the difference would be, I just thought it was an interesting comparison.
um...
I would like to add a third one to that set of choices if you dont mind.
Shooting yourself where your partner would never find you.
The thought of my partner never being able to find my body and have the closure that I really am dead... would be much worse.
I know if my mate killed herself and I was never able to find her body or even know that she was dead and she just dissapeared one day... well...

that is a very good point i never thought of before. I was actually wondering if it would be considered rude to shoot yourself with full knowledge your partner would find you and have to deal with that, and if so would it be polite to leave an extra bullet? Off topic there sorry and a little morbid too.
Being deaf, I have seen alot in my life and could go without seeing anymore pain and suffering, as long as I could still listen to rock and roll.

catching your parner cheating would be worse, I guess, because if you were the one cheating there might not be much love going on there anyway.... but catching them implies you are faithful and therefore really, really hurt instead of just embarrassed.
What's worse:
Not having any children because you and your spouse are both carriers of some awful genetic disease (cystic fibrosis) and always wondering if your kids would have been okay had you had any,
OR
having children because you love each other and wondering all during the lovemaking and pregnancy of every child if that child will have it. And then ending up giving birth to one that has the disease.

Im not sure about the extra bullet thing though.. I might perhaps leave my mate some quick acting poison that would result in a painless death instead. But Id much rather commit the act with my partner, and go together. And no worries, I am not squeamish about morbid thoughts.
