Uh... thats bullshit. If you have qualities that are unappealing to the opposite sex, and you don't want to be alone... you should change those qualities. If your standards are too high, you should lower your standards, otherwise you should get used to being alone.

Which, by the way, there is absolutely nothing wrong with. You answer to no one, you don't have to look out for anyone's feelings, you're free to be your own man. Solitude is not the end of the world.

Even if you change for someone, eventually you will revert back. So whats the point in doing so?
And the same applies if they change for you.. Again, so why bother?
Accept someone for who they are, not who you can change them into...

but first know yourself, then you can go out and get to know others.

I used to know this big fat smelly nerdy kid who never bathed. He was always complaining about how lonely he was, yet also about how shallow women were because no one would love him for who he was. The idea that he needed to make some personal changes never occurred to him.

Jobe- you need to get on some happy pills and stop being so damn depressed. You know since you are a manic Depressant- of course you'll be thinking these things.

But you know what- you stop believing that crap of "oh I'm always going to be alone" because you know damn well you won't.

Look at what you have instead of looking at what you don't have.

You have friends, you have your art, and I'm sure other things you enjoy having/ or people/animals being around.

The more you go on and on about not having something- or believing you won't ever have it- only makes things worse. The more negative you are the negative the outcome- you need to be positive.

And focus on yourself and what you enjoy- and someday someone will see you and say- hey I like his attitude towards life- he obviously is very positive- I think I'd like to get to know him a bit better-

I have not been here long but from what I've read of your posts you seem to be a truly amazing person,
you seem intelegent witty strong willed firm in your beliefs.

Marriage and long term relationships aren't always the fairytale fanatsy that they're made out to be. I've already got one failed marriage under my belt. Sometimes it's better to stay single. I do what I want, when I want, and I don't have to tell anyone where I'm going or when I'll be back.
