oh yeah the subject , ok here is my sincere opinion , sometimes one has to stand for what she or he believes at a very hi price , in this case not do what you love doing , make yourself clear on your reasons , make sure you think them carefully , so that you express yourself with the most humanly possible clarity , make sure you do this in a polite manner , as it will hep you drive the point across .

This won't guarantee that they will change their mind , but it will make an idealist and a person of strong character out of you , at least in my eyes , for whatever that is worth ..,. life generally suck spineless people make it suck a even more , but not more than irrational mindless baboons.


note aside , Most religions , were and are sexist , people have the option to blind themselves from the evident from the facts , its their prerogative , but its not a license to blind others frivolously .

thanks, but i will not be content being the "pretty girl with the nice voice", arkantis. i'm also a lesbian and will not tolerate what i view as discrimation. personally, as a pagan, i think its terrible that women in your CHURCH (note the "H") are not permitted to the some of the same roles as men...it almost sounds like the colonial peroid when the only job a woman was allowed to hold was a teaching position.

I did reasurch on the topic, It is a test of faith. I have questioned religon I picked the one I am in. I have read all of my religous book and I am in agreement with all of it.
I asked all of my friends that were girls on msn just what they thought of it.
I got alot of awnsers like "Who cares" and "I questioned it at once but now I just belive" or "that is just the way it is"

well my pastor just tole me that I should teach you Christ first, we will skip that due to lack of intrest on your part. BUT to my suprise this is not an old testament law, it is in more than 2 places in the new testament. To deny these would be to deny the new testament, and it would make the whole religion useless. IF it were an old testament law I would be all for it beacuse the old testament law is nothing now, it is just a guide.

Sorry silverflame I just don't like the topic. But i'm curious to know. How could this topic be about women's rights? The reason why i'm curious to know. Is because for one thing all the other girls agreed to wear a dress except for you. But all of you are women/girls. I don't see that to be a women's rights thing. I'll give you some short examples as to the way i'll see it in my head.

Women's right is to have the abillity to play sports such as a man.

Women's right is having the abillity to vote.

Women's right is having the abillity to get a job.

That is what I see to be a women's right

But it's not a bounch of women wanting to wear a dress while another femail doesn't care to wear a dress. I don't see that to be a women's right. Because your all women/girls.

I'll jump in here. Men are treated in a sexist fashion by almost every means available. The most notable example is the media.

How many times do you see a commercial with some "fat, dumb husband" who knows nothing until his wife tells him all about the new product and how it can help them? How many shows on T.V. feature the husband who continually backs down to his berating wife?

We live in a deranged society where it is "politically incorrect" to say bad things about women, but there are hundreds of sexist attacks on men, creating stereotypes that ruin males before they even reach puberty.
