Eventually, Goth is going to be exactly like Heavy Metal when it died out. Close parties between friends blasting music, but mainly sad lonely people just swinging around alone in their empty apartment, if they can afford one.

I stopped going because I'm old. I feel sorry for new, young Goths. Atleast I got to be a bohemien with my little art aspirations and get invited everywhere.

Hencewise, you can usually assume people who dress like wiggers all share similar characteristics, just like you can assume all goths have at least something or other to do with darkness.

Very true. Aside from that, outward appeareances mean nothing about the person's psyche. Your arguement seemed to be something like "You can judge a book by its cover because thats what people do." Just because someone going to look for a gothic book might discount the one with rainbows doesn't mean that the book with rainbows might not end up being a good source. Doesn't mean that it will, either. You'll never know until you look a little deeper and find out.

Very well, but I still say you can infer certain things ABOUT their personality by their appearance...Kinda like Sherlock Holmes does. Doesn't mean you can delve deep into their inner psyche and read their repressed memories about being beaten as a chiled with a brick of cheese or anything, but it's still a nice quick way to generalize people you don't want to get to know.

I think it is more looking different so people don't relate the problems I have to me.

There a many who take my lack of wearing black as a personal insult to them. Really, it is more of a blending to my natural environment, like camouflage. Increasing my chances of survival by changing my color to hide from natural preditors.
