i am really terrified of my father. he doesn't hit me, not anymore anyway. but sometimes i really wish he woulld instead of just talk. while i was growing up, my parents, basically put the fear of god in me. i would never do anything against them, no matter how much i wanted to.

my father is really religious. to the point where damn near everything is the devil and evil. and i used to laugh at some of the things he said, because he always makes things worse than they need to be. and when he gets mad, the things he says...
and i know he means them, which hurts more.

one time, my brother was joking around and said i was a lesbian. since that's "evil" and i'm always doing "bad stuff", he made me change schools when he knows it's hard enough for me to get along with people. and tonight, he saw these drawing on my arm that i did when i was bored in class. they were just circles, lines, it wasn't anything big, i never even thought about it. he kept yelling at me about how, if i keep doing this devil stuff, i'm going to go to hell and that if he knew that i was gonna come out so evil, he wouldn't of let my mom have me. and how he never wanted me to begin with. and the worst part was how he said that my best friend, my only friend, from my old school was making me learn these things and that i'm not allowed to talk to her anymore. he's making me quit my job so that the only times i have to leave the house, is to go to school.

i don't know what to do. i just keep thinking abot killing him, but i can't help but think, he's my daddy and i can't. i can't take it anymore. why can't he just leave me alone. i'm so lonely.

Try talking to other family members about it and see if you can get him some help..

Alternatively you could speak to his church leader or whatever, most religions are wary of zealots and should be happy to help.

I dont think there can be a complete solution to your problem.

Until you move out you are living in his house and he is quite justified, be it in misguided judgement, to inflict and impliment his rules in relation to his beliefs.

Just try to lie low until you can leave is the best advice I can give you. But then I always tended to follow a policy of appeasement in relation to my parents, if you are not quite so submissive as me then I would think that Fero had the right idea.

I would take fero and sybelles advice and combine them, it would be exactly what i would have said. As you do live under his roof, you will need to deal with it until you can move out, which i hope for you, is not to far off. Seeing as how you have to do that, you could at least take what fero said and use it in the meantime, hopefully someone can help him deal with his issues somewhat, as fero said, those are his issues, not yours.

i have tried to have others talk to him, but they're afraid to. he's the one that the family so they don't want to say anything against him. and he's too busy to go to church, he was just raised catholic.

sounds like my girlfriend(if she's still my girlfriend) and her aunt laura. She was raised by her aunt laura and she was just like your dad. "that's the devil! you're going to hell!" eventually, my girlfriend just left that place. Naturally, her aunt was very angry and refused to talk to her. that went on for 2 years, but now they are talking again. I do think your dad really loves you. if he didnt' love you he wouldn't be so concerned about you going to hell. course, he should back off a little bit. In his mind though, he's not doing anything wrong and that's what makes the situation so sucky. talking to him probably won't do a bit of good.

he's not concerned with me, he just thinks i'm making him look bad. i've made up my mind. i'm just going to sit in the house and do nothing until i'm 18, move out and never come back. i've tried emancipation, but they didn't see my parents as unfit enough for it to be granted. cause like i said, they don't hit me anymore.

Unfortunately there isn't much you can do, just lay low for a wile and try not to piss him off. My dad is sort of the same way, everything I do is evil and I'm going to hell and he hates me and blah blah blah blah blah. you'll learn to tune him out. You've only got a few years left.

Next time he yells at you you should tell him to shut up and that you want to go to hell! lol I wounder what he would do then.
