There's nothing scary about it. I just thought that I would point out that I don't like scary things.

my Halloween costume is going to be scary. At first, I was going to dress up as an Undead/Gothic Scotsman in full regalia; Then, I had an epiphany the other night as I was drifting off to sleep (honestly). I have something of a Love/Hate relationship with my friends around here. They are fine people, obviously, if they had no positive qualities I would want nothing to do with them. However, they are very much assimilated into modern culture and that is where we come into conflict; like any good young man who considers himself to be part of the Gothic subculture: I have a strong aversion to mainstream modes of cultural expression and thought. One of my current friends even used to share that sense of disgust with the masses, albeit to a rather distorted extent. Now however, he has whole-heartedly assimilated himself into what he once despised. Worst of all, he projects his feelings of disgust at who he once was onto me; he has frequently told me that I am "Just like how I was." While remaining gloriously blind to the fact that he is little more then a follower; he was then and still is now. No doubt if I had decided to dress myself in the costume that I had originally decided upon I would have been mocked for the entire evening but this is sheer brilliance; I am going to show them a twisted reflection of what they feel about their values and a cunning satire of my opinion of the frivolousness of their modern culture: I am going to dress as a wigger, a stereotypical piece of white trash, with baggy jeans (Not wearing a belt is going to bother the Hell out of me I don't how those miserable fools manage that one) a base-ball cap canted at a ridiculous angle, a hooded sweatshirt, a large chain with a 50' Machine Gun Round (Circa Vietnam War) around my neck as the obligatory piece of "Bling" . . . I had best be on my gaurd in any public restrooms as I am worried that I might involuntarily punch myself in the face if I see my own reflection . . .
This should make things truely interesting, wish me Luck!

Omg, if you are seriously doing that, be glad you live where you do. If you lived here, you'd likely: A) get your ass kicked hard; B.) have people think you were totally batty.

Actually I think that's a wonderful idea. That's actually one of the best ideas I've heard of yet.

I wouldn't be worried, the defused 50' round that I have would make a brutal fist-load or even a flail if swung by it's chain.
I can't wait to see my Friends reactions, I haven't told them that I changed my mind about my costume. I'll try to get some pictures too.

That is an adventure. I love getting lost it's so much fun!

I used to be terrified of getting lost as a kid, to the point where I would pretty much go all fetal, a really irrational fear too. I was as if I thought I would drop off of the Face of the Earth somehow. George Carlin makes light of that kind of feeling in one of his Monologues on being a kid:

"Sometimes, it's not a thing that's lost . . . You're lost! Then you have to ask for help and you're hoping you'll hear something constructive, not . . . Ya' know:
"Excuse me . . . Where the Hell am I?"
"You're in the Land of Broken Hopes and Shattered Dreams . . . And you're next in line for the Human Sacrifice!"

Thankfully, I conquered that phobia pretty well and I can definitely see the fun in getting lost now. My favorite time would probably be when I was out driving around aimlessly with Josh and Thes and we ended up in Bellows Falls Vermont. That was a really great place to walk around at night.

Yeah it's fun driving around and getting lost. I did that in a city to figure out how to get around.
