I guess I'll see what I can do over the weekend . . . I'm heading back home to see my grandfather and be around for my Brother's birthay. That's actually going to be a bit of a strain as I just got settled back in here. de vagorum ordine dico vobis iura

Lets see, Friday was hectic as I donated blood, and spent the rest of the time rushing around while I waited for 3 0 to role around so I could get out of there. Also, my brother's Birthday celebration planned for Saturday has been post-poned for Sunday due to the weather. Other then that I've been relaxing at home as usual. de vagorum ordine dico vobis iura

I'm reasonably sure that yesterday was one of the worst days that I've had here . . . First of all, one of my best friends was termed and then, I had a disk of written pieces that I had been working on for months that suddenly stopped reading. So I took it to a friend of mine who is knowlagable in that kind of thing, he tells me that the inside of the disk looked like someone had dragged steel wool over it . . . Only one piece that I really care about is intact and the majority of everything else looks like The Matrix and Tron's illegitimate love-child . . . I feel like such a nerd for using that metaphor. Yesterday's high point actually came out of it's lowest point. The friend who helped me out with the disk works at the front desk of the center director; Adolf Flanders.
I saw the gentleman and since I was still in a civil mood, I said hello to him; At that point, I had heard conflicting reports in regards to if my friend was leaving or not. So I actually thanked Adolf for not letting him go . . . When he responded by puttign his face in his hand and peering at my guiltily through his fingers, I learned otherwise. I still made an effort to make pleasent conversation with him and the conversation went to his desk and the collection of stones that he has on his desk; all of them scribed with a specific virtue, such as courage, accountability etc, etc.
I asked him if he had ever had the temptation to throw any of the stones at certain students. As myself, he, another staff member and my friend were chuckling at my little joke; something came to me that I said without even fully contemplating the meaning myself and as the opportunity presented itself I said: "Personally, I always thought that virtue should be held in the Heart rather then set in stone but that's just me."
He complemented me on my unique world-view so I'm not sure if he fully understood what I had just said right away. I hopw the meaning came to hiim just as he was falling asleep that night . . . de vagorum ordine dico vobis iura

Oh, thanks for the sympathy over my lost works of literature! Sometimes I just want to be held you know.
I went off on Adolf Flanders during our last assembly. I found myself standing and bellowing: "A law set in stone weighs agaisnt all but the Heart can decide when a person in virtuous and when a person is malicious and he was not a malicious person! he should not have been kicked out of here."
After that I had everyone congradulating me on it. I wish that everyone saw it as their duty to speak their minds. I don't think I should be rewarded or congradulated at all. de vagorum ordine dico vobis iura

I wish you lived near me. Then I could be a Tim Allen to your Wilson.
You could wax lyrical and advise me while I grunt about my back yard. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. | |

That's hardly a fair comparison, seeing as I'm so much younger, I would be stereotyped as a hippy if I were a television character . . . I wouldn't think that living in my backyard would be the best thing for you either way though . . . Well, here is a modest work of literature that I composed today; submitted here as suggested.
If anyone knows more about the City of Far Cassarone, I'd like some help. I remember it from a very old work of poetry that my mother read to me when I was little. Archetypical
I detest and fear this
The days of gray sameness
Without passion or vitality one after another into meaningless Death
I fight
To find a way out
Out of this cycle
Of Human Existence
Of pain
In a World without luster nor anything worth fighting for
There is nothing for me to lay my life upon
There is no Eternal Salvation
No Grand Destiny
No Enlightenment
No Renaissance
No Utopia
The teeth of devouring reality
Hard and blunt
Gnaw at my noble soul
No glorious way lies open to me
Through this World
How can I find permanence of beauty in life?
How can I find
That which is lost
When all it was and forever will be
Is a half-remembered dream
When did we ever truly live?
As if alive
With power and grace
With out Hearts set in steadfast virtue
And our heads held high with pride
Do you remember?
Our heroes
Our sages
Our noble kings
Our worthy adversaries
Where is Lemuria?
Alantis,
Wonderous Punt,
Tara, Camelot and Far Cassarone
All would have crumbled to dust if they had ever even existed as stone
Held in the treacherous Hearts of men
Ethereal and mistily recollected
We are as dreams; a paradox
And dreams are as our highest hopes and aspirations
Archetypical
Built of virtues that we aspire too culled from that which never existed
A paradox both fragile and eternal
Do you not hearken?
Are you not called?
Do you hear the horns?
The written and chanted incantations, invocations and summons
The alchemical ring of hammer, anvil and forge
The piping of the Satyrs flute's
The stirring vocalizations
Of forgotten masses
The orchestra and tribal drums
All calling you back
To be one with Legend and more
"Hearken back!
Hearken back to me!"
For a day of valor and honor
For righteous struggle
For triumph
Over the weakness
Of man de vagorum ordine dico vobis iura

quid prodest tibi laborare

Are you a buddhist? I see lots of buddhist words and sentiments there, which is interestingly mixed with the desire aspects, like two opposites come together.
Yes, interesting.

I am influenced by Buddhism but I was going for something more tuetonic so i'm surprised that it showed up in the piece. Thanks you. de vagorum ordine dico vobis iura

Buddhism's weird.
I think I was a buddhist before I knew what it was, it was something I read about that described a load of things I was already doing and feeling. I think it creeps in everywhere as it's a way of life, rather than something very dogmatic and rigid. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. Exactly, a very freeing and meaningful way of life as well. No wonder you don't here about things like pedophile Buddhist Monk scandals. de vagorum ordine dico vobis iura
