So, it's 8:43 PM, I'm a tiny little computer room on a computer that looks like a shitbox but runs smooth . . .
I was starting to feel pretty tweaked but I feel much better now that I have regular internet access.
I'm starting to wonder if I do have a case of what Nivvie called "School phobia". Places liek this always make me feel like I'm going to have a panic attack. It's a pretty good place from what I've seen so far though. My dorm-mates are cool and have compatible tastes in music, there are a good number of Goth and alternative people here on campus too.
I'll have to see how it goes, I have yet to really decide anything yet.
Now that I know I can remain in near-constant, nightly contact with the sweet, nourishing imbilicus of technology, I feel much better.

It's weird using another computer to talk to us, isn't it? Sometimes I log on at a strange work placement and actually have to rememeber my password, and there you all still are, in the same place, but somewhere different.

And it wasn't just me calling it school phobia, it's a recognised medical condition (in this country anyway) and is based on a hate of institutions and fear of over structured routine.

They've got me in a two-week-long orientation program that's been designated with some needless abbrevietion . . . CPP Career Preperation Period.
I had an idea for what I wanted to take before I came in but I didn't know exactly what the courses taught teach you. I was going to go in for buisiness but I've learned that they don't teach you how to become an entrepanour and how to start and manage your own buisiness. So that's narrowed things down to Welding and Culinary. Since the waiting list for Welding is a mile long, I'll probably be going for Culinary in that case.
