What the hell are you going to get banned for..... you are interjecting your side of the story.... with tact.... though I must say that there are far worse things to be addicted too it can seem like there is not for those living with someone who is a computer addict....

There are always two sides to every story.... and both sides always conflict... if only because we are all human and as fucked up as we can get

I am an EQ addict.... yet I only play on days when My beautiful Wife is either at work or at her Mums.... never when she is around..... in relationships we have to meet each other on the middle ground....
Of course if one or the other never wants to step onto that middle ground that is when you have to take a stand..... My Wife wanted me to quit all together... we had a discussion and came to a nice conclusion.... one of which serves us both very well....

One more thing I have to add...

Thank whatever Gods I do not have any children..... hehe....

Whether it be DF, e-mail, or EQ - isnt the POINT! The POINT is when everything else comes second to the HOLY COMPUTER ... better find a different road Bitterlotus - because you're headed for a dead end on this one! Don't let the sob story fool you folks ... this person is a hard-core addict! As I am trying to tell him how sorry I am that the relationship is ending - WHILE I AM STANDING THERE LOOKING AT THE BACK OF HIS HEAD WHILE HE IS TOTALLY GAME-ABSORBED ...

BitterLotus: what Dyshade said is true - either put up with it or get out ... I put up with it for 2 years - I couldnt take it anymore. I realize this is probably the father of your children (?), but if he has stopped going outside to enjoy life with his sons, you have a problem. Life is too short - there is more to life than the computer (guess which piece of equipment was the FIRST to go out the door with him?????)
my suggestion is get the hell out it will be hard at first - but well worth it in the end ... because he is not going to change.

As this is the EQ thread, i will not respond to all of these allegations here.. No need to argue about it on the advice board. I'll start a new thread on the bitch board and we can hash it out there..

To answer Darktigger..my hubby goes on from 8-15 hours a day. No exagerations. He does not move from the computer unless he has to shit.

I stated my case to him..his family or the game. He has been doing pretty good the past few days. He has been apologizing alot.i told him to not apologize just change his ways and I'll be happy.

He has agreed to only go on after 8 pm. I warn him if he crawls into bed after 3am no nookie for a week. Every night its his job to get the boys ready for bed. (this used to be his job before he decided to glue his face to the computer). Hopefully he slowly gives up more game time. Sundays he swore not to go on at all. Its family day. I hope he can handle it

Please, Tiggr.....who ya fooling?? I listened to the same BS from my husband....I don't believe a word and not to mention that NOTHING you say can convince me otherwise...not that you care. "AFK" ( I quote) ...please!!!! How about turning it off, participating in life and not the fantasy of EQ...you are NOT a Wizard, a warrior, a Paladian...or whatever you play.....really I swear!

Eq taken in small doses can be a fun game ( I suppose) it seems to me that the people that take it to the extremes (i.e. my EX-husband ) are in need of a Therapy session or 20.....it's a game, it's a game, it's a game!! Bitter, you say??? I sure am....I watched my EX throw his wife and small baby away....all for a game called EQ.....please!

Geeze, it's not like it was/is the only thing i do.. The problem i had/have with ruthless(if you read her post at all) is me being on the computer at all!! be it EQ, DF, email, Heroes3, installing software, ect. Didn't matter to her.. Cause i wasn't in the living room watching re.....

Well, since this IS a thread about EQ addiction ... let me elaborate a little further. And maybe give Bitterlotus a little more insight. No problem with being on the computer - but can you tell me ... exactly how did you participated in the relationship? It WAS EQ ... and guess what? The POINT (again) has been totally missed. When you are in a public place and you start rambling on about some place in EQ where so and so does this or that and the people around you are looking at you like "is this guy nuts?" you MIGHT be an addict. When you can't carry on an intelligent (emphasis on the word intelligent) conversation without bringing "EQ" into the topic .... no matter HOW you have to work it into the conversation ... you MIGHT be an addict. Fool? yep ... right there with you Dark ...
