I got a trojan virus , it slipped through norton . Now every time I get an internet connection it starts sending loads of emails . I have norton run extra checks and it always finds new ones ! I don't know what to do any more ! Can someone PLEASE help me !

But my virus programm works perfect , I don't know which files are infected , everytime I connect with the internet , something starts sending messages I don't know to address I don't know I've run norton several times deleted tempoarry flies , empty my wastbin , deleted cookies , restarted windows , nothing seems to work !

Honestly, Norton sucks.. Get something better..
Try UNinstalling outlook express, then re-installing it.. (AFTER you've gone online to see if it's gone )
Goto Windows update site, and search there for a better program. As well as thier own antivirus checker.. Scan your system and delete, delete, delete!!
The trojan is not in your temp files.. or your cookies.. It has embedded itself in your mail program. And maybe even windows itself..

if you are using windows xp, try booting into safe mode with networking and try trendmicro's online virus scan. also spybot search and destroy looks for trojans where a lot of the main anti-virus programs no longer. lastly if you know the name of the virus why not do a search on symantecs website on how to remove it. if they have it listed then they will mor hten likely have a removal tool, or a walkthrough on how to remove it. lastly what is it using to send messages?

Also another note just get rid of Norton it's useless. Norton and Mcafee(sp?)just want money. You are best off to use something else.
