suprised theres no threads (that i've seen on the first few pages) about this demon yet...

i've been drooling over it since the first announcement, and i've had my preorder for a week or so, been paying it off slowly so i shouldnt have to pay anything on launch. managed to find a great place that allows you to trade in old games and consoles and add the trade in value to your deposit. i now have £169.99 to pay.

plus obviously the games i'm going to get. i've preordered perfect dark zero special edition, and i think the other game i'll get is final fantasy XI. if i can afford it, i'll get test drive and condemned as soon as they launch too.

i'm also drooling over call of duty 2.


i've got all the 360 mags that have been released here so far, and watched the preview dvds (official and unofficial) as well as all the vids and reviews and articles i have found on the net so far.

i can say i've never been so interested in a console before launch. i can't wait for it. the specs, the games, the way it's working.

i've looked at the ps3, and well. im not too impressed. apparently its going to be more powerful even better and all that. but i'm not too impressed with the internal architecture. especially the construction and way the "cell" runs operations.

oh well, we'll see i spose. but i'm getting me a 360, i cant wait, and i think it's going to be great.

anyone else got one on order at all? (know some do) what games have you seen other than the ones i've named that look really worth getting? i know pgr3 looks tempting. but i don't know. twasn't impressed with pgr2.

so yeah. views? news? anything?

I don't like the fact that they are going to have an XBOX 360.5 after a year. The one that runs the special kind of DVDs

i've read stuff but it doesnt seem like it'll be after a year. but they mite release a updated version with HD-dvd rather than blu-dvd. ps3 is using blue dvd yes, but i don't know if it'll take on for a while.

but hell, i like the way it operates. for me its not about having the best, its what i like. i still play my mega cd every day, because i love it.

I'm waiting impatiently for this baby. Don't know where I'm gonna get the money, but I'm gonna try.

i've noticed in the last 5 years or so that, in some cases at least, graphics have become more of a priority than game play has. for instance i'd rather play some of the old school tekken versions than the new ones. and even though the new racing games for the xbox 360 look pretty cool, i have my doubts that they'll match some old school gran turismo game play.

I'm gonna do what i did in the last console war. wait patiently until all three systems matured a bit and then see who's best. i'm poor so i cant aford to buy all 3 of them and i dont want a flop like the Sega Saturn again. (though i refuse to sell it because it has some awesome exclusives)

Good call, dude. I'm at least going to wait until after the 360 comes out to decide if it's worth.... though I'm sure it will be. I'm a collector on top of a game whore, but I think that I'm going to get either an Xbox 360 or a PS3, instead of both. Or, I'll wait until one becomes cheaper. I'm pretty sure I will get a revolution though, simply because it's the only console that looks truly innovative.

I agree with ArSiNiK, too. The more needless complexity you add to fun, the less fun it is. Before you know it, you're back in reality. Boo to that. Tekken 3 for life, niggas.

as i said, im still a side scrolling platform game addict. my megadrive and mega cd has sonic cd pretty much grafted into the drawer and has pride of place ontop of my centre speaker between my two screens. (one day i'll upload a picture of my gaming and home theatre centre in my bedroom. when i can be arsed) and yeah, gameplay is the issue.

i've been stunned by the games that are coming out on the 360, it's like game producers have been amazed with what they have to work with, and they've started making their dream games. i love the way ghost recon works, i love condemed and i can't wait for the new sonic. yes thats right, sonic on the 360. awesome.

including one that i really should have held on to, a pristine version of metal gear (heavy gear) on the NES in its original box (pristine) with manual. i don't know why i didn't keep this. but i didn't. i was fucking stupid. damn women. i'm never making that mistake again.

IM still waiting and temped to contact HASBRO about releseing a new ATARI SYSTEM and not something stupind like thw preloaded FLASHBACK they just dumped on us awhile back ..Im talking new games and the return of some favs. along with some cool gimics to put the ATARI name back on top of the gaming industry !!

It's like I just tryed PITFALL the Myan Adventure on my Sega Gen emulator I putted around on it for like 10 minutes and then turned it off thinking THIS is not PITFALL its a bad Earthworm Jim clone ..sad ...

atari were rumoured as the producers of a console called "project X" that had amazing stats. i think it got killed when the xbox was released soon after.

I'd go with the 360 too. I don't like the PS2 controllers. I'm sure both systems will have the same controllers as before.

if you mean that the 360's controller is the same as the xbox one and ditto with Playstation 3 and 2, then you're slightly incorrect, but not too far off.

ps2 controllers use bluetooth and 360 use wireless. ps3 controllers look like a boomerang all sleek and boomerang shaped, and xbox 360 controllers are smaller, curvier and have funky light up roller buttons with buttons moved different places and suchlike. the 360 controller has the live pack built into it so you plug your headset into the bottom. pah, probably beter for you to just go look.

Sony is still working on the controllers, the ones shown are still concepts. And my guess is that they will redign it because of the shitloads of critisism they got over the boomerang...

I doubt they will make a dualshock 3 though. i heard they got into a legal fight with the company that designed the dualshock technoly for using it without permission.

according to one of my sources (Sounds so ominous doesn't it) says that sony are in such a state because of the xbox 360 and the fact it blows the playstation clean out of the water and into the stratosphere so theyre redesigning it and releasing new specs almost every day.
