So a friend of mine offered me this deal:

Total of Two Previous Owners, system is in Very Good/Mint Condition, games have no scratches, but fingerprints. Three owners total in the Consoles history that I know of.

A steal, really. Though here's my situation: I don't like playing allot of video games without gettin some multiplayer online action, and from what I understand the Wii has none and can't really handle anything online play wise much stronger then Super Smash Bros. Brawl, of which bugs are still being worked out (as far as I understand/have been told).

So then, I love online play, of which the Wii doesn't have. Though the games they have (Zelda, Manhunt 2, Wii Sports/Play, that surgery thingy, Disaster, ect.) look good, I most likely won't play them because I'm mainly a n online fps guy.

But it does look inticing, and I could always sell it on ebay. Thoughts?

either buy it, and play what you got with it now and wait until online stuff does come out,

or just tell a friend you know who'd like it about it.

who knows. you might really enjoy playing it offline on your own, or socially with friends. most people i've known who've bought wii have been really impressed by them.

I'll buy it if you don't.

The thing you must remember about the Wii is that the Big N does have online plans for it. Because of the fact that this is their first real online capable console(yes I know the GC had an online game, but that kinda doesn't count) they have to play catch up. Not so much so though cause the have the established Wi-Fi Connection network setup thanks to the DS. Besides with the controll system for the Wii, when they start coming out with FPS the Wii shall rule all. I'd get it, and then give it some time.

2 ANYONE can play the dam thing ,,Self's 6 year old daughter BOWLS an average of like 180 ( she kicks my *@! with a top score of 214) and she's only been playing it since 10/02/07 ..not to mention My hard core ol man let me actualy hook it up to HIS TV ...then had to get off the couch to play it ! THE POWER TO MAKE AN ANTI-GAMER PLAY !!!! OMFG !!!!

That is something that many people do not understand about the Wii. Nintendo is not done with the whole roll out for it, and I sense their online games are on the horizon. Besides is would be stupid of them not to do the whole online thing with another system, especially considering how many units they have sold in the almost year since it has been released.

All I can say is that you lost out on something cool...

Resident Evil 4 is awesome with the Wii control system and with the launch next month of Umbrella Chronicles I think we'll see the Wii seriously pick up in the FPS department with the release of the Gun attachment...


...it's taken a little time for the Wii to pick up, but I think it's now getting there.

on either thursday or friday i'm having a game/movie day with a friend of mine, who has a wii. i'm going to try it out. i suspect if i like it, i'll purchase one the same day (depending on shop stock)
