Dragon Warrior is a must play.

I guess you can do the Final Fantasy series, though it's all crap so I don't overtly recommend them.

Illusion of Gaia for SNES rocks.. though you don't want any for that :p

Hrm.. Shining in the Darkness for Genesis is a fine one, though not the greatest.

Legend of Legaia for PSX is good
Star Ocean: The Second Story for PSX is great

Why don't you play the Breath of Fire series they're a great series of RPGs where the hero could transform into dragons. I highly recommend Breath of Fire III or IV. For a computer RPG I recommend Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind or Baldur's Gate or Planescape Torment. If you can get your hands on a PS2 get Final Fantasy X the graphic is absolutely beautiful and you'll reallly miss something out if you don't get it.

Well I havn't played morrow wind or Elderscrolls
But I have finished Breath of fire 3.....Havn't gotten the chance to play b o f 4 yet though......

I'll have to get that one.

For PC there is plenty of great RPGs.

Fallout 1, 2, Planescape: Torment, Neverwinter Nights are must have in my opinion. Baldur's Gate 1, 2, Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall and Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, Wizardry series (8 is the last so far), Arcanum are really great games too. From very old titles - Ultima series, Ultima Underworld, Dark Sun, Dark Lands and lots of Forgotten Realms based games. Probably there are much more games, that i can't remember right now.

Planescape Torment was one heck of a game, I spend half the game confused heck I mean you don't even know your characters name until the end of the game. Definately one of my favorite PC RPGs... Anyways Octet I did play Thousand Arms and it was a unique RPG/Dating Simulation well that's how I would define the game...

dragon warrior monsters is....err....stupid...but the rom is worth a try

FF3 is good....
chrono trigger(different to chrono cross)
sceptera core is good...

Shit...That was a pretty good list of games ...I'll have to look up those games...Ihave been trying to find Thousand Arms...But it is very hard to find...I have found it to rent ...But I can't rent it from where i found it...........
