I am curious what the draw is to video games? My hunny is obsessed with them. He paid a 400 dollar deposit to spend an entire day trying to master one....I chose to go to the library....I am just curious.

they subliminally stimulate the mind to learn quick reflexes and the art of caution and aggression.

think of hooked on phonics (works for me!). it makes learning fun. so does games.

although the lesson they may teach may not be as quite appropriate (Grand Theft Auto, anyone?), it still teaches kids and adults some lessons they'll never forget.

actually, i have no idea what i'm talking about.

and to answer ur question Jordyn... its a kind of vicarious living in which there is interaction... books are great, hell i love em to death, but i can only interact in my mind with them... and even then when i imagine myself in books it only lasts untill i start reading from the page again... with games there is solid interaction which actually DOES change the story...

It was a playstation two. He wanted it for twisted metal black and unfortunatly was very disappointed, however we did watch some good movies, so it wasn't a complete bust....thanks for the honest answers, I just could never understand
