| >What am Nintendo hiding with Revolution? -
11-28-05
I mean it been awhile since e3 and the only thing they showed us was a control and thats it. Why has not nintendo showed more on revolution? Sure X360 and ps3 will destory this system so brings me to this point what is nintendo hiding. Plus the new egm got a rumor that one of the developers been working on revolution saying the graphics are only lil better than gamecube. This is indeed gamecube turbo for real. Plus it been said the system wont be on the same level of power of X360 or ps3. So what brings me to is that why nintendo is pushing the controller so hard cause there system looks no better than gamecube according to developers. But so far that is only a rumor with the graphics but if its indeed true every single one of you lil ugly pokemon mario lookin nintendo bastard will get owned like never before!!!!!! redWOOD has spoken REDWOOD SPEAK ONLY REGULATED IN THE LOGIC ,AND GROWNDED IN THE REASON I am they Alpha and Omega, beginning and the ending. who is am who was and who am to come. i am almighty redWOOD and have spoken

developers haven't been spending the time to take full advantage of the system. as a mather of fact, very few times have there been games which actually took advantage of a system. game cube wasn't maxed, PS2: only a little, and xbox, no way...
but the upcoming nintendo does have the original nintendo titles available for download for a small fee... being the single greatest thing about it.
As far as system power goes... the PS3 will be the most interesting, using a cell-based processor (read about it below): http://arstechnica.com/articles/paed...aystation3.ars
ow well, i dont really have an argument... damn, but i will say that, uh, unicorns kick ass!

I dunno. Graphics don't make the gameplay, in my opinion. I'm still thoroughly entertained by Earthworm Jim 2 on SNES. And I'll still rock out with some Cool Boarders on PS1. I've seen screenshots of the 360 graphics, and they're nice. Shiny. Wee. PS3 will be more shiny. More wee.
Nintendo is just jumping on the next-gen bandwagon. I don't see the big deal with any of them. I've still got a shit ton of games I haven't played on the consoles I already have. In Memory of the Busby Babes :

but I've been playing perfect dark for the 360, and there are 64pixels per texture block instead of 32, yippee!
(Probably cuz it was in development for XBOX V1.0)...
Farcry (a graphic intensive PC game) has far better graphics (with a decent card 400+mhz 256mb+ AGP8x) then anything i've seen for xbox... but ya know, maybe it's worth the 400 buck and 50/controller and 20 per battery/chargepack... yup... so worth it.
Thats all I have... but CONTRA and PAPERBOY fucking rock!

I've sat down.. stoned out of my mind.. and played the pipe over and over and over again. <3 some Cool Boarders. SSX on PS2 is pretty kewl. But the SSX On Tour for Xbox was purty disappointing. In Memory of the Busby Babes :

I have to agree with graphic don't make a game great.
It's the storyline.
I still enjoy playing with the little sprite characters.

I wouldn't doubt Nintendo. They're shooting for an entirely different market from Microsoft and Sony. Children and older people. It seems like a crazy idea... but I've got a feeling that Nintendo won't do so poorly in this console war.
While the 2 big dogs duke it out, Nintendo is going to quitely provide this innovative new system for a cheap price, and parents looking to buy their kids their first video game console are going to see that its $100 less than a 360 or PS3, plus probably recognize the name "Nintendo" and go for it.

Nintendo's definition of "next-gen" isn't the same as Microsoft and Sony's. Whereas The Xbox 360 and PS3 are all about being total graphics powerhouses with a physical gaming experience identical to their predecessors, Nintendo is the other way around: a moderately improved aesthetic experience with a totally new concept for the physical gaming experience. That, in my opinion, is fucking hot. They've also hinted that it will be backwards compatible to the extreme, going all the way back to NES. We shall see.
I'll definitely be picking one up. No PS3 for me.

Yeah- but the downloading for older games from older consoles will cost you. But not bad, I enjoy getting out my Nindendo from time to time- and playing Lufia and other games like Crysalist. It will be fun- I will be pleased.

I still have my old consoles, but I'm pretty damn tired of having to rig my NES with duct tape to keep the cartridge from falling out. And I'm equally tired of having to balance the unabridged hardback copy of Stephen King's The Stand on top of the cartridges for my SNES to keep them in. And I'm realllllllllllllllly tired of my Donkey Kong Country pissing out at the beginning of the game, in the freakin' Monkey Mines.
YEAH. THAT'S RIGHT. I LOVE MY MINE CART CARNAGE. In Memory of the Busby Babes :

I found that book on the basement floor of my fraternity house. Never read it, though, because I can't read.
