So I'm thinking of finding a new game. WoW is still fun, but I've determined that i'll never be able to play with my casual friends and see high-end content, so perhaps its time for it to go on the shelf until WotLK comes out. A couple of guys I know are playing TR now and have good reviews for it, has anyone here given it a shot?

If i remember correctly Dyshade was playing the demo for it and seemed to really like it.

Heh, I got the free time on vanguard. And it has the same problems it had when i played it before.. So for now i'm still playing WoW..
I saw Dyshade playing TR at his house once during the beta.. didn't seem all that bad. But don't think it interests me that much..

Funny, I saw that game the other day and it caught my interest, though I couldn't tell you the last time I purchased a game, but if you do get it, let me know how it is.

Tabula Rasa is a good concept with poor follow through. You basically only level up every 5 lvls. In between you can add to your Skills and Abilities but you only really progress every 5 lvls. It needs alot of polishing before it will match up to its hype. It was fun for the first little bit but got too damn boring after the first 10 lvls. Those are the reasons I did not purchase it.

I am back to Everquest again for fun because I really got bored to tears with WoW. I also play Vanguard. Vanguard has got alot of potential and may increase numbers of players after they get rid of the few more bugs they have and get rid of the rest of the lag they suffer.

I am still trying my damndest to get into the Conan Beta. I have so far done Beta for Vanguard, Tabula Rasa, and CoH. But Conan sounds kind of cool

What is do boring about W.O.W?

He insisted on playing it as a solo game, limiting himself to about 1/4 of the content available.

WoW is like the internets, lots of idiots, lots of stuff to do, and it costs money... and damnit. i want my WoW back!!!

i've never heard of TR though... what basis and stuff is it? like what kinds of characters can you make and stuff? is it like Oblivion? I got tired of that game way too easily.

Actually no, not what frog insisted, I grouped but only with folks I know. I mainly soloed but did do friendly groups because pick-up groups tend to fall apart very quickly and crappily. I went into several of the end-game (oldschool) dungeons and reached lvl 64 and now will wait for the next expansion before reupping to check it out.

Raids in WoW are very player friendly usually Try the old school Everquest raids out some day, those were fucking hard as nails.

TR is a Sci-Fi end of the world MMO based on FPS over the shoulder action mixxed with a very generic RPG experience. It is very frenetic, fast paced and fun at first. But after the first few Kill 200+ quests it gets very grindy very fast.

btw. i heard today the WoW expansion is due out 30 November-ish...so i'm expecting it in Early to Mid Jan of 09 I keep getting WoW expansions for my birthday!!
