Yeah, I played it. Got till the place where you're on the truck with a machine gun and have to shoot down pursuers. But my comps sucks so much, that it almost falls in torpor there, so I can't beat that damn place... But the game is great. Shooting off legs and arms with a shotgun was damn fun.

i have thought about getting this game as well. loved playing the first one and then got into the american army one they released. but hey i will more then likely get this in the near future You can look at it as a metaphor for the fleeting nature of human life, or just chalk it up to my being a sick, bloodthirsty monster. Either way, it's all the same.

So the US army got a copy as well. I know the germans had a version made for their army as well as the Japanese for their Self Defence Forces.

Whats it like. An extra mission or a new game using the SOF engine?
Our version we had made by Raven featured actual maps of russian military instalations and what not. It was really strange. They even made skins that resembled spetnaz and russian Kuberchov guards.

it is based off the unreal engine and the US military is taking credit for creating the game for recruiting purposes. You have to do basic training and go from there. rather interesting little game.
Heres the link: http://americasarmy.com/ops/index.php You can look at it as a metaphor for the fleeting nature of human life, or just chalk it up to my being a sick, bloodthirsty monster. Either way, it's all the same.

Did it make you want to do your duty for uncle sam?
during the 70s we used subliminal messaging to try and get people to stay in the army longer but all it did was make them buy more magaiznes about guns and stuff... very strange.

when i appliedi was told i was to young. In Canada you have to be 17 with parental consent and 18 without. At 17 my parenst refused to sign only after a year before telling me they would. When i turned 18, the Canadian military went into a complete overhaul and they cut the forces down and were also not accepting new recruits. They told me to join the reserves, well my intention when i joined the military was to either be in it full time and make a career out of it or not at all. as things went on, i kept thinking about it and such. Actually my whole intention was to get into the special forces or die trying. Either way at the original time i joined Canada had no spec op team. It wasn't until 1992 that the JTF2 was formed without the knowledge of the general public. It was until a couple of years ago, and this is something i wish i was told about, was that i could have gone to England, and joined the military there. Bad thing is byt the time i found it out, i was to old to do it, well not to old to join, to old to get where i wanted to. the maximum age for groups like the Navy Seals, or S.A.S is 28 with a minimum of 4 years in the military. being that i am now to damn old(hehe) and have a family my joining the military is now out of the question. I a the kind of person, and my wife knows this if i joined the military, the day i singed up would be our last day together. If the miliatary wanted me to have a wife, they would issue one. hehe You can look at it as a metaphor for the fleeting nature of human life, or just chalk it up to my being a sick, bloodthirsty monster. Either way, it's all the same.

You do know the SAS and SBS are the hardest armed forces groups to get into?
Oh well, just come over here and they'll force you into the army. The SKKK our speacial forces are pretty good, they train purely for artic warfare and used to traing the SAS in norway before Finland and norway fell out.
Now all we train is swedes in their speacial forces also called the KKK (we like our Ks up here) Apparently the B.M.O.D. wants to sen S.A.S. and Ghurkas here to train for artic warfare.
During the 70s we even trained Us speaical forces, until the US became too pushy about how we kept fighting wars with russia. They basically said 'We are the USA and you will do as we say.' So we kicked them out never to return. That'll teach 'em. (they now recive training in Alaska, a lot of good that'll do them.)

i have read the history of the navy seals, and some stuff about the S.A.S. surprising to know that many Canadians make it into the S.A.S. From all the stuff i have been told about the JTF2 here, it has become one of the hardest in the world to get into. My cousin is in the military and has told me some stuff. They had a Seal team up here for a whole training with our Provincial Police. i asked if we were being trained by them, he said nope we were training them. hehe. Anyways, good thing about Canada is we have so many different lanscapes here we are capable of training in just about every climate possible. I have also read some of the stuff for the JTF2 as for what you need to do to train, and they have had members of Seal teams, and other spec op teams around the world that couldn't do it. As an example. 10 klik run fully loaded and at every 100 meters or something like that, you have to do a set number of push ups,sit ups and pull ups in a set period of time. it was either 100 meters or 1 klik. can't remember what. shit i could never pass in my life time. though reading what the S.A.S has to go through, shit man hard ass shit. You can look at it as a metaphor for the fleeting nature of human life, or just chalk it up to my being a sick, bloodthirsty monster. Either way, it's all the same.

Well the SAS started out as the desert rats, mostly made out of australians, new zealadners and brits. They ran sabotage runs.
Did you know the ASAS (australian) were in vietnam? They said that no wonder the americans lost with all the noise they were making. Half the regiment was sent (about 200 men) and they killed more VC than any other group. They didn't use rifles, they had a 14" maschette and a pistol and loads of grenades. They used to cut the ears of the ones they'd killed as trophies... now thats the way to spread a reputation.
I like the fact that the americans say that they are best at everything. Thier not. Thier army is poorly trained, their speacial forces are average and all they have is good toys to play with like apaches and Cobras.
The Russian Airforce is the finest in the world, their MiGs can do 90 degree turns and can have the shit shot out of them and still fly, an american fighter need a perfect landing strip and has become a missile platform nothing more.
It sickens me how their government has force fed them propaganda about them being the best for fifty years. They need another vietnam to sort themselves out.

i do give credit to the american special forces, well the seals, delta force and rangers. all the stuff i have read about the seals and vietnam, if they were allowed to fight the war they wanted to, they would have done a better job then they did. Oh and have you ever looked into the history of the american army rangers? their history goes back to like the cival war. they had the same fighting style of the native bands, and were a worth opponent to them. They may not have won all the fights against the natives, but they did win their share of them. they still use the same ideals and tactics today, or well try to. You can look at it as a metaphor for the fleeting nature of human life, or just chalk it up to my being a sick, bloodthirsty monster. Either way, it's all the same.

Huh, did you know that there were more americans killed in the civil war than in all their wars after put together?
It makes you wonder.
But you must take it into account that smaller armies like the british army and the canadian army are better trained, their pilots have more experience, they train better with what they have.
All in all if the american army was put par to par with britain or any other major army they would be a pale lot by comparison.
Mind you we fins did teach the americans how to snipe. We have 8 of the worlds top ten marksmen living in Finland. During WW2 some of our men clocked up over 500 russian killed.
Vasji Kajerakov our finest sniper killed 1276 officers and men from 1941 to 1944. He was awarded to iron crosses by hitler. For great deeds to the fatherland.

uhm i wouldn't say that about our airforce, or navy. we may have a well trained ground force, but if you lived here man you'd hear people do nothing but complain about our forces. Thank you for reminding me of the figures of the cival war. i do not take anything away from some of the other forces in the world, as they have little to do but try and come up with the best force they can to fight some of the so called world powers. Unfortunately in Canada we are are pretty much over ruin with the "power of the US" and how they are our protectors... oh, and what is the best trained special force in the world? last time i heard about this they said the Brazilian special force was the most dangerous to come up against in the world. You can look at it as a metaphor for the fleeting nature of human life, or just chalk it up to my being a sick, bloodthirsty monster. Either way, it's all the same.
