Is there a place in todays console game industry for games like Final Fight and Streets Of Rage or is the whole concept past its sell by date?
I`m looking forward to getting Final Fight for the Gameboy Advance if it comes out over here.

You just answered your own question, mon ami. The Game Boy Advance is a gift from the Gaming Almighty. A portable SNES, for all intents and purposes, with just as many developers making and improving on the types of games that made the SNES so great. I say screw the next-gen consoles as long as Streets of Rage, Final Fight, and Double Dragon are given new life, portable system or not.

although i lost some interest in it after getting all 44 entry passes and alternate costumes after the fourth time.....still fun though!

i had a weird fetish for TMNT2 back in the day... and final fight was a favorite... i kinda like the new evolutins though like Fighting Force and that one by Square (damn what was that name?)

yea, i agree final fight was mad cool. ahh good old side-scrollers. Some of em were real cool. I played one for SNES i think it was called "ninja robots" or "ninja warriors". that game was ill. My favorite side-scroller though is this real hard to find game for SNES called Metal Warriors. You get these suits with different weapons and stuff and you can hop in and out of em and you fight till someone dies.

I'm suddenly reminded of Double Dragon for NES. That was the first side-scrolling fighting game I've ever played.
