Looks like they're going to revisit the Las Plagas thing, this is just my speculation i haven't read much about it. But in the trailer is looks like they're putting something in the dudes mouth and it takes control of him. And since they're not zombies, a la everything before RE4 I assume its a continuation of the Ada/Wesker storyline from RE4 since they got the Plagas sample out at the end.

Imagine how scary that thing is gonna be on a big old HD tv with a good sound system...

Well I think they are gonna go with a plagas/g-virus hybrid. I mean look at what they have accomplish with both organisms. And some of the older screenshots I have seen have the zombies in them, but of course that could have been changed

Shit yeah, when this comes out im putting my 360 or Wii (havent decided which im getting it for yet) up on my big screen HD TV with the surround sound.

I am actually pleased that the game looks to play out in Africa or Haiti or wherever that was. I have been mad for these African movies lately, like Blood Diamond and the Last King of Scotland. Theres something really alluring about them that I cannot put my finger on.

That would be really interesting. Especially since Wesker was the last guy to really have any ties to Umbrella before they went under. Which means he would have access to both the T/G Virus and now Las Plagas. Imagine a G Virus/Plagas variation Where all the zombies (who unlike infected Spaniards) don't have to eat or feel pain can be controlled by a mother egg/virus somewhere and gives them a slight bit of intelligence.

I dunno might be a lot of swallow, but it would be interesting indeed. I did miss the undead in RE4, but the game was just so damn well designed that It stopped mattering to me by the time I killed the village elder.

Also I wonder if any of it ties in with the new RS3 movie out later this year...?

Not only is it coming out for the Wii, but its supposed to be one of their 1st attempts into trying some HD stuff. If they can make that work as well as the 360 i may just buy the wii version since I like the wiimote for RE games much more than the standard controller.

I think the trailer is on LIVE actually, i know i've watched it in HD on my screen with my sound system and... yeah, i was really put right back into my seat.

i'm not a fan of the resi series, i never liked how they controlled or moved around. but now its on a decent console and hopefully they've tweaked the control system a bit, i probably will end up playing or buying it.

but in seriousness.... a gun for the 360. someone needs to make one. someone really does. i know there's a problem with lcd/plasma and gun reception, but even if they make some kind of reception bar like on the wiimote... someone needs to make a gun for the 360 soon.

Well with RE4 the redesigned the control, and the camera system, because of how annoying it is. Now you are perpetually behind Leon, and if you have a surround sound system hooked up, you can get scared shitless from alll the noises, a trait I hope the keep with RE5

Whenever I hear that Chainsaw I start getting all

After the first time I got killed by that guy, I shit my pants almost everytime I heard that chainsaw, and started running around like a chicken with my head cut off, only to bear a striking resemblance to that very thing because my head had been cut off

Fun times. I remember watching a friend play as HUNK in Mercenary mode. He stopped for a second to reload or something while the Chainsaw was chugging away like it was right on top of him.
