So, its gonna be like a remote controll with motion sensors and can have joystick attachment...

The idea sounds pretty cool but i do have my doubts though. For example, how are you supposed to play certain games like fighters, 3d platformers, etc?
And somehow it just seems a bit award to play a game with something that looks like a remote. Just try playing a playstation game with the PS2's DVD remote, your arm and thumbs will get pretty sour are a while...
Then again, if they execute it well it could be pretty neat.

Any thought on the matter?

And how are the controllers going to last more than 3 months? The most abused thing in my home are my PS2 controllers. Lets just say that Dynasty Warriors causes them to rack up the frequent flier miles.

i'm unsure. having to have my hands at a wierd angle to be able to press all the buttons i'm not impressed with.

well, since Sony have got bluetooth, microsoft have got wireless, it seems nintendo have the fuzzy end of the lollypop this generation and have to use IR. hopefully at least it has IRbounce technology.

i wonder since its supposed to be all the consoles so far and more in one, how you can play n64 games which use a shitload of buttons. also the placement beween the buttons and then having the left analog, means you would have to use your right thumb to hit all the buttons on the top, and then your index to do the underside B button.


[edit, i've seen a way to do this, using a on the front, b on the back, but losing which was on the back, and then using the Dpad for the C updownleftright buttons. i still think its wierd.]

i don't like it. it's a cool idea, but for gaming, i don't know.

from what i hear its indeed IR, you have to place 2 receivers next to your tv and thats how its supossed to work. i guess they cant even use bluetooth because bluetooth does not have the ability to detect *where* you are standing wich is a pretty big problem if they want that motion detection thing to work.

I think the controllers could be extremely cool, but my problem is stability. It will be so hard to button mash. We all love that shit. I like how you can rotate the controller and use it like an old NES controller, though. That's super-cool, especially since old-school NES games will be downloadable and playable on the system.

Personally I think it's a little weird...

Depends... So far i know there are 2 types. The commen Bluetooth reaches up to 10 meters while the other can reach up to 100 meters...

I can pull files from my phone through bluetooth even if its in another room say, 6 meters away. Its a pretty neat technology.

I'm just glad that my "steering in the air with my controller while playing" method is going to actually do something
