When will this bullshit trend end? The logic escapes me; MS should make Halo 3 for the Xbox for 50 bucks, that way the Xbox 360 version can be $75. The sad thing is that they could probably get away with doing that.

Gaming companies stopped having integrity when the console wars kicked up. It stopped being about the games and started being about beating your competitors in sales.

I would expect this from the japs (sony) but from our own loyal american companies (ms, nin)

You kidding me? When it comes ot business you really cant look at nationality, everyone will be ruthless. The Japs? for sure. The Americans? fuck yeah. Microsoft especially, they arent known for being too consumer friendly, nor are they known for being fair players.

Best solution? Id say dont play thier games but that would suck, so I advocate piracy, theft, bearshare and other such things.

I don't think it will end, because it's the nature of business. Earn more = good, providing people will actually shell out the cash. With project sales of Xbox 360 being preeeeety good, I don't think they'll be changing their ways any time soon.

but what about the millions that are spent coding and designing and making and testing and suchlike? and the running costs of the places that these are done at, and the wages of the people who do it all, and the programs that are made to make such games, and the programming for them and the hours it takes and ....
