they're not going to be any smaller, which is a plus.

By me the DS is selling for around $150 with Animal Crossing + 1 extra game valued at $15 (or somewhere around that area). I'd advised picking up the original DS at these bargain prices.

However, if you prefer a sleeker looking DS for the same price, go ahead. I have problems with all their small buttons and such so I prefer the bigger models (I prefer Xbox controllers to PS2's for comfort issues).

The unit itself is what's smaller; thinner, lighter, etc. The screen size wasn't compromised, though; in fact, the screens are going to be higher-quality this time around, sincer there will be adjustable brightness levels and stuff.

i don't think i will buy a ds lite now, i didnt like my original ds much, mostly because of the lack of games out, and because it was ugly. but mostly the games. but theyre learning the tech now which is cool. thing is, i bought one very late after their release. so yeah. but anyway.

i think i'll wait for the revolution.

but then again, handheld multiplay, with voip teamspeak is kinda cool
