can anyone tell me of any role play shops online that i can purchase one from? all i can find are toys and extreme replicas and stuff. i have the rest, just want this. even a larp safe blade would be fine!

If $ isnt too tight BUY a replica and goto a hardware store then get eather a metal or wood dowl (sp?) strip out the inside of the fake sabre and bolt in the new blade Or better yet mount the blade ( foam on a wood or metal stick ) in a screw on cap ( look use your mind and you WILL find !!) then blade off clipp some where blade on screw or clip it in place ... Yer just putting a fancy handle on a foam stick !!!
should cost a lot for the handle and about $3.00 for the blade !!
Hell Self has built useable SWORDS for $4.00 !!!! from hardware stores ...

yes i have purchased myself a real cheap plastic lightsaber and am gutting it. i will make myself a blade using closed cell foam and latex and a core etc and make me a larp blade and then bolt it into the handle that i will produce myself. the problem is, finding a thick enough handle.
i would however like to know if there are any sites that do make larp legal ones.
may i suggest to either hiro or marius that they move this topic to the OOC section?

Handle: Find a branch about the same diameter as the INSIDE of the cheap-o plastic handle. Saw it so its long enough to reach the bottom fo the plastic handle, but is long enough to reach the "mouth" of the handle. Wrap the wood handle in duct tape and then turn the duct tape after about 2 times over so then the sticky side is out. Jam it into the handle, if you do it correctly, it should stay put. then proceed into blade attachment.
could you please stick to what i have asked in the first place about a site or just not bother posting.
i do know how to make larp weapons, believe me... i have all the equipment. the only thing i wish for now is a thick enough and long enough piece of chrome tubing. please dont start with the "you'll find it in a hardwqare stor" as i have been to all of them in my area.

Roleplay related, at least in Darkforum, would refer to THIS Roleplaying forum. I hate to point this out, but your predicament about a "light saber" has nothing to do with this forum. I'm going to put it into games...it fits better there anyway, since the kind of RP you speak of is far more of a game than...well, a real RP here.
