My friend just purchased the game along with an extra controller. It's pretty fun. It's a lot better while playing drunk. Most of the songs are decent. They have just about a song for everybody on there. Has an awesome multiplayer mode where one can play lead/rythym/bass. Makes for some fun. I would really like to try out Guitar Hero. What do you all think?
Digging my way deeper and deeper until I find a way out.

Explain in detail cause I dunno what you mean, like I geuss there'd be a guy with a guitar you control. Or what. Link me up if it's an online game and it's fun + addictive.

well, i traded in three old 360 games that i dont play or like any more, and spent all of £5 on GH2 today.
i like it. i'm up to Jessica now on career, some songs i really dont know how i passed em, i wanna learn to play jessica perfectly so im practicing like crazy right now. im pretty crap at it, but i'm getting better. learnt some of the riffs already. just trying to work on sorting out the lag from the tv so i can hit better.
i like it worthwhile purchase. gonna get a 2nd controller from ebay so can play with my friends too.
I like the songs on the first one better, the last 10 songs on 2 are just odd. Plus hard and extreme on the second one are insanely hard. thank goodness for the practice mode, which is a real plus.
it is addictive though. i hate when I've played for so long everything sort of moves up.
i'm shit at the game so far, struggling on easy. hopefully when i get my new eye-lenses it'll get easier. since i have double vision and scrolling things tend to curve off to the left and back and forward when i'm seeing them.
strange, since i can nail dancing games quite easy.
guitar hero 2 is pretty fun, i never actually played gh1 but the song selection on gh2 is pretty good. they have everything from sabbath to lamb of god.

My family got the gh2 for christmas, and I'd never even heard of it (I know I'm cut off from the world). I started playing with my sister, and I was up to the hardest song on Medium in two days, but I just can't get the hang of that fifth button. Even the easiest song on Hard is beyond my abilities. So I reached my plateau, and then went home and haven't played in a month. I loved it though... can't wait to get it.
Early in life I had to choose between honest arrogance and hypocritical humility. I chose the former, and have seen no reason to change.

I'm a big fan of the GH games. Songwise, I like both games equally, since the variety of songs is a bit too eclectic to warrant a fair comparison. The only complain I have with GH2 is that my most hated song of all time is on it ("Cherry Pie" by Warrant). However, I got five stars on that song on my first try (both hard and expert), so I don't have to go back to it unless I want to try for 100%. The control itself is much better for GH2; I go back to GH1 and find myself missing notes simply because the hammer-on and pull-off mechanics aren't quite as clean. I also give GH and GH2 props for turning me on to some lesser known acts that I now listen to regularly. Anything that turns me on to new music is my friend.
I beat GH on easy, medium, hard and expert. I went through GH2 on hard and got 5 stars on every song to unlock the eyeball guitar, but I haven't finished expert yet because i still need to beat "Freebird." My hand gets really tired about 3/4ths of the way through the solos at the end, and it throws off my rhythm. It's such a long song that I can't try more than twice in a row before I get annoyed.
I'm looking very forward to GH2's release on the 360. More songs + downloadable content + achievements + new guitar = great experience.
the moment they announce a release date for it on 360 over here, i'm selling my ps2 one on ebay.
ive looked and some still go for like, £5 under retail. and mine's still in perfect nick. ok so its got the stickers on but... yeah its relatively un-used.
