Did squaresoft make illusion of time? and if so, for what system?

No I don't thing so, It was released for the SNES, called Illusion of Gaia in USA I think, they did make a sequel I think but cant remember what its called.
Possibly Secret of Mana?

I own illusion of Gaea.. and secret of mana is most definitly not it's sequel, or even related to it, since that game is.. horrible... and not even related to anything that happens in illusion.

I dont know what order I'd put them in...
Shining Force, Shining Force 2, Govelius, Miracle Warriors, Phantasy Star, Phantasy Star 4, Y's, Shadow Run, Fallout 2, Baldurs Gate 2, Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy 3, Breath of Fire 3, Suikoden, and Wild Arms.

If Illusion of Gaia is the game where you're a kid and his dog, then it is sort of the Secret sequel. They decided not to convert Secret 2 into English, but give America a game with the same fighting engine (developed in America) as a replacement.

I forgot all about Earthbound, which contains a boy and a dog, but Illusion of Gaia is a game in which you play Will, a flute wielding psychic kid who's trying to find out what happened to his father.

I think I've spent the most time playing Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana out of all RPGs. And that Secret 2 replacement was Secret of Evermore. It's kinda weird, from what I recall.

Obviously you guys are talking about video games, but since you didnt specify, I will list true RPG's.

As for video games, the Final Fantasies and Dragon Warriors are my favs.

"True RPG's" Blah, blah, blah, and movies are just books with pictures.

hmm this is easy since there have been relatively few.
i will forever love final fantasy 7 not because it was overly good but because it paved the way for RPG's in america as a commercial hit.

1. Shining force - because i loved the original feel and the ability to have your characters change and become stronger.
2. Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen - this game was incredibly well put together. the story itself was incredible. I even liked the dialouge. wonderful game.
3. Final Fantasy 4 - i think its 4 with kefka the bad guy. i think that was the best one of them all. palom and palam who were turned to stone to save the others. maybe its not 4 but all the first ones were the best. final fantasy is not a 36 hour game instead of its once 80 hour days on a 16 bit system.
5. Dungeons and dragons/Vampire the Masquerade - i list these as the worst not because they are bad but because at least for me its been impossible to find people to play with. the stories are great for both of them. and the systems of play work well. but since i'm not the most social butterfly running across some players is a mite difficult.

thats my list. there are of course maybe 20 more i'd list in total. since there were so few RPG's before final fantasy 7 i'd say everything before that at least rates a 7 on my scale to 10 because they were few and far between. but now its easier to pick and choose.

I aggree that the story and FMVs were among the best ever on Blood Omen but its a pity the game\engine sucked so badly

FF7 is without a doubt the best ever, how cool was Sephiroth? (did you know the name is from the Kabbalistic tree of life which explains some in game shit don't it? )

Diablo 2? Not bad, nice story etc ust a bit repetative and far too 'gauntlet' for me.

I'll have to agree on the FF7 things, no game has EVER had that many villains that were that cool. The correct spelling is Sefirot, and more specifically it's a branch on the tree of life, there are supposed to be nine branches and basically each one is a world or dimension.

i play on vallon zek. so does blueboy, and so does dubin. but i haven't seen dubin here in a while.
