I have been looking intot this game for sometime and haven't really decided if it is really worth buying. can anyone give me and ideas about the game and if it worth spending my money on. You can look at it as a metaphor for the fleeting nature of human life, or just chalk it up to my being a sick, bloodthirsty monster. Either way, it's all the same.

Its a pretty good RPG but a bit simiplistic in places.Storylines a bit better than the first one I thought but its overly cartoony in places. The battle system is like the first game a active time battle clone with enemies that drop regular coins along with skill and magic coins to spend on new abilities. The amount of time it takes to get all the spells and skills along with the voice acting makes it a good enough game to buy even if it is easy to complete. Work is of two kinds: first, altering the position of matter at or near the earth's surface relatively to other such matter; second, telling other people to do so.

No, Grandia 2 isn't your best choice, go with Final Fantasy Legends 2 for gameboy, much better sequel.

as i did not ask a thing about Finalfantasy, i would appreciate that it be taken to anotger thread. SSfAoshi, if you canot keep the topic on track then do not respond. I did not ask what RPG was better you little snot, i asked about Grandia 2. You can look at it as a metaphor for the fleeting nature of human life, or just chalk it up to my being a sick, bloodthirsty monster. Either way, it's all the same.

I really like the game.. is simplistic, true, but it has a compelling storyline. but I am talking about the Dreamcast version(yes, I still have that system) and I don't know if the PS2 version is different. Anger that burst out of nothing, for evolution I shall charge into uncertainty's promised land. it's been a pleasure, but I think I am gone... i'm looking at the PC version as i don't have either a Dreamcast or a PS2. was thinking about getting a Dreamcast, but i just don't think they have enough games for me to play yet and the PS2 i think is just 2 expensive yet for me to buy You can look at it as a metaphor for the fleeting nature of human life, or just chalk it up to my being a sick, bloodthirsty monster. there's good games for the dreamcast.. but sadly, it doesn't matter anymore... I think the PC version is like the Dreamcast version.. but I don't really know. I encourage you to buy the game.. but it depends your gaming tastes. is up to you to judge.
a option could be that you rent the PS2 system along with the game and see it for yourself (if you can afford such thing) Anger that burst out of nothing, for evolution I shall charge into uncertainty's promised land. it's been a pleasure, but I think I am gone... To be honest i could afford to buy a PS2 if i wanted to, but as i said i have not decided wether i would like to or not. as for my gaming tastes, i love the Phantasy Star series and even play them today i do not mind the FF series though i have only really played 7, 8 and part of 9. In all fairness though, my favorite style of game is survival horror style games. man i still play the first Resident evil and Silent hill. ..
..Grandia 2..*points to what Chupa said about gameplay*..de story..at least I found, to be quite..different..only matched by Xenogears. That, and I believe it will hit a certain note with you, Crypt..seeing your religious(or lack therof) views.
..Dreamcast does have a suprisingly good amount of decent games..just de matter of finding them, n' sorting through all de shit titles. Skies of Arcadia is another good choice.
..Oh, and if you have yet to play Xenogears..Go Now. Get It..

Ya i have played it and still do. i had to restart it as i forgot where i was and what i was doing there as it had been so long since i played the game. Oh and Elijah sorry, i am not to sure what you mean by the game hitting a certain note with me. does tha game have a religious basis to it? You can look at it as a metaphor for the fleeting nature of human life, or just chalk it up to my being a sick, bloodthirsty monster. Either way, it's all the same.

oh and is that a comment that i should go out and get a Dreamcast? not sure if they have a whole lot of games for me to play these days. i was thinking of picking up a PS2 for the surivavl horros and some of the other games they have going on there. i do like some of the gamesa they have listed on the sites or have come out with since it was released. another game for ther PS2 would be the SOCOm Navy Seal game. oh man if you only knew my interest in groups like the navy seals, army rangers, delta force, the s.a.s or the gsg-9. i have a tendency to play the games i can find for them though i do have to admit the ones released for Tom Clancy like ghost Recon or Rainbow six are just to me a waste of time and all. where i have seen the stuff for the SOCOm Navy Seals were you talk to the other members insetad of controlling them as you would 1 character. i like the idea they have come out with in that regard and hope when i play it is exactly the way the game seems or me to want to play. You can look at it as a metaphor for the fleeting nature of human life, or just chalk it up to my being a sick, bloodthirsty monster. Either way, it's all the same.

Hmm, it looks like I will have to get Grandia 2, especially considering the recent lack of RPG games on PC (and I'm not even talking about japanese RPGs...) What I heard about it so far, made me interested in it.
