for what ever reason i haven't had a chance to actually see and play a psp, until yesterday. i was pretty impressed with the screen and i like the little joystick they added, but i still don't know if i could justify $249 on a portable system that i would only use while on trips... and those would only be airline trips since most road trips i'm the driver.

am i wrong?

nope. my reason for not buying one too.

i was temped to get one of these all singing all dancing bluetooth movie playing mobile phones that lights up like a chistmas tree and plays mp3s and blah blah blah. but fuck it. the screen is the size of a crushed matchbox. if i want to watch a clip, i wanna see the fucker.

s why i havent bought one of those transportable dvd players either.

i think it was a stupid idea to not have analog on the psp. i know it would have made it less streamlined but they could have come up with something. hell, a thumb touchpad would have been better.

i cant be botherd with a psp.

I dont know, it does more than play games, you can even get an internet browser for it... I want one.

The next airplane trip I'm taking I'll be too busy trying to figure out the geographical half way time to win myself a bottle of champagne.

I like the psp, but... I just can't imagine spending sooo much money to buy yet another platform that I'm going to have to spend even more money to buy more accessories and cords and connections, not to mention spending more money to buy tiny little games to play on a tiny little screen.

Basically, I <3 my ps2. I can wait until I'm home to play it. Books, magazines, crosswords, and in-flight movies work for plane trips. Worse case scenario, I pick up a new dvd and bring along the portable dvd player. (my munchkin has his GBA and Simpsons dvd's to keep him pacified.)
