I'm torn between VII & VIII... cuz I still play both... IX still not sure of

FF VIII was a plotless excuse to have a lot of cool movie CG scenes with creepy latin chanting and try some new combat systems. As a model run it was good, but as a game it was awful. It certainly did not match up to the grand scoping, beautiful storyline and character development in FFVII.

I found it boring... strangly.

FF8, pure crapola.

Don't know about 9.

the graphics, well I was really expecting better. VII has better graphics going by the cartoonish style in both games. Granted, there are some new GFs in IX... other than that though, I would stick with VII & VIII. But that is JUST my opinion.

each game has it's own qualities that are great... and of course those that are not so great. now if they would only combind the way you junction in 8 with the way you fight in 7... that would be awesome.

FF7 and FF9 are the best games. FF8 ( No offense to the people who like it) Sucked. I hated the fact that you had to keep changing your gfs every single time just so you could be compatible with it. Oh and the end man that's just mean, too many ultimecia's too fight...but it was an easy kill...

Now FF7 best storyline I've ever heard, seen and played. Sephiroth character was pure genius..what really freaked me out was when they let you see that CG graphic moment where his eyes got all freaky and he was mumbling stuff about his mother and how mother wanted to take back what was theirs. And then you saw him rip away the metal covering and behind the metal covering you saw this ugly assed women thing with a metal forehead plate that read JENOVA. Now that was CREEEPPPPYYY. **Makes wiggly motions with her hands to signify the creepiness**

And FF9 oh man Vivi the cute little mage. Garnet's a bitch though. And Steiner...there's something wrong with that tinman. Now Zidane...ah Zidane wonderful Techs and I loved the fact that he's....****'* brother. And that he was created by ****** and was suppose to be more powerful then **** and also was suppose to ******* the ***** or actually probably ******** itself. Man that just tore him up and made him....oh yeah the little stars?? That's to prevent people from kicking my ass at revealing the ending. But anyways I will digress and finish off right now.

**licks Ebony** thanks for not revealing the ending. One of my friends told me about the part in FF7 where **** was killed by **** and it totally ruined the moment for me. And Sephiroth kicked ass.

I still say Chrono Cross was MUCH better than FF7. Lots more characters and a more intricate storyline.

Having never played Chrono Cross, I can say with assurance that it was much worse than FF7.

i didn't like chrono cross much, maybe just b/c i never really got into it.. but then again, had it been a better game, maybe i would have played it more (does that make sense?) anyway the original chrono trigger was great, as were the early final fantasies.. i can remember playing final fantasy 1 on my nintendo when i was like 5.. good times, good times.

Also Chrono Cross was cool but I kept getting confused every single time I had to go to the other world, or the original one..and sometimes I didn't even know which world I was in. It was very confusing. And the endless array of characters was cool but I would have preferred just a couple, instead of about 17 of them.
