The damn games are like crack to me. I know there's been a billion posts on the games...probably...but which one is your favorite and why.

Personally I love ff3/6 cause if it were made like the ff7s and higher..... it would be the shit imo.

Like you said there are a billion posts maybe even threads on the series, well here we go again: Mine's FF7, because of the storyline and the materia system... and cool chars too

the only good FF was the first,all the rest are either too boring or just badly made...7 was ok,just because the characters were so loveable....but besides,there are some way better RPGs out there...

I do have to say.....I loved FFX! I played it like 3 times thru.....I absolutely loved that fucking game! I can't wait until FFX2 comes out!!!

hmm I would rate FF1, but the version I played is in Japanese, so I don't get the storyline, but the battle system is simple and I kinda like simple... and that's about it I guess...

Tactics is definitely a favorite of mine. The class struggle, the civil war, and the religious storyline are just about unchallengable in my world. It even had Cloud in it from part 7. This game was just awesome to me, they should make a sequel to it.

As for Final Fantasy 1, I didn't like it nearly as much as the others. Even part two was better because it actually had a storyline. Sure, part one had a bit of one, but there were no real characters, no threat that if they died you couldn't ever get them back. In fact, there really weren't characters.

Part 4's epic storyline probably beats out all the others. I loved the freedom given in part 5. The characters of part 6 were definitely the best. But because of the replay value of 7, I'll definitely give that one my number one.

I think that i related most to Squall out of all the characters. Cloud is awesome, but Squall got him AND Cecil. beat as my favorite main characters. As for secondary characters, Kain is number one. Hence my name on here.

I have played and beaten them all but part 3. The worst I have yet come across is 9. I just didn't like it. Annoying characters that I couldn't relate to and bad guys that were both unchallenging (even the optional baddies) and unthreatening. Part 10 was all right but I didn't like the voices and story at times, and I thought Seymour was just...gay.

So definitely 7. But Tactics is up there too.

FFX-2 was ok. I liked 10 better, but it was ok. That shit under Bevelle took me forever but it was worth it just to get 100% of the game and see the best ending. Good stuff.

Uhhh...there is a Tactics Advance for the GBA that is new. Not the same story line.

X-2 was crap. Shouldn't have been a numbered part of the FF series. Shoulda been out of the numbers like Tactics.

And FF1 can't really be compared to the rest. FF1 was barely RPG. And the storyline was just a wee bit more than lacking. FF2 was where FF's legacy truly began.

IMO though, FFVIII wins. Awesome characters, love the junctioning system, summons looked nifty (Minus Eden, that one just annoys me). Also was seemingly the longest one. Only thing that really lacked in 8 was the sidequests. Cards were kinda gotten quite easily (Just wait until disk 4 and I believe you can get them all), and the G/f's were easily obtained as well. About the only side quest that took a second was hitting all the draw points on the Islands Closest to Heaven/Hell, and thats truly not a side quest.

And as for whomever hated IX, rock on. I don't care for that one either. Characters are all very simple, and don't really change at any particular point in the game (Ok, dick head falls in love, not really a change). Summons were gay looking, and I hate RPG's that look like midget-clown-childern (Like those damn Taru-taru of FFXI).

Anywho, I'm done posting on Final Fantasy for now...although I have an odd urge to play FFVIII again, but apparently I'm buying Crystal Chornicles tomorrow, so I guess I'll play that instead.

FFTA is crap too... The storyline is too weak to keep me interested in getting a summoner...

FF 3/6 is the best.
