Bethesda is set to rock the gaming world again with its Next Generation RPG. I have to say the graphics look unequaled by anything out there or even coming soon. Prepare for it on November 22nd for PC and XBox 360

Holy crap, that's sooner than I expected. There goes my social life. I'm going to be glued to my Xbox 360. Which I've already pre-ordered.

Yeah I guess they finished it off a bit quicker than they thought and wanted i tto launch with the 360. It will be one of the X-Boxs flagship games

Hmm... those are actual in game shots. bethesda when releasing thier screenshots for ElderScrolls 3 were faithful and as such there is no reason to believe that they are different in this regard. They have been working on this monster for over 4 years. When they released ES3 they had to revamp the graphics and scale them back becasue they would not run on a "modern" computer of the time. Now they have the ability to do what they intended.

Bethesda has always been the lead in graphics for PC RPGs and I see no reason to doubt the validity of the prior screen shots.

Yeah the Penny Arcade shots they are showing are game shots too. This always happens I wouldnt blow my load just yet. And good graphics dont make a better game. Guild Wars and EQ2 suck compared to WoW which has 3 times as much content, is 1000 times more fun. Which I guess oculd be why it out sold games like EQ2 so easily in not only the US, but Australia, Europe and Asia as well.

It's fuckin Morrowind! Regardless of the graphics, having THAT much control over an RPG and being able to build your character from virtually nothing makes me cream in very sexy ways.

Dyshade, are you going to be able to import an Elder Scrolls: III character into the new game? I'm guessing yeah.

Nothing like those penny arcade shots. Bethesda does not fuck around. You should check out thier history. They are well known for providing the best in single player RPG experiences. Thier games are hands down always top of the line and give the player the ability to go anywhere and do anything. It is almost scary what you could actually do in ES3. You could ignore the main storyline completely and do anything you wanted. The world was absolutely HUGE!! They are saying the world in ES4 will be 2-3X the size if not larger. And completely rendered in photorealistic graphics.

And I am digging EQ2. The combat system is ACE. Heroic oppurtunities make my Rat a bad ass Assassin. My Rat has ranged backstabs with his bow And nothing beats my Rats ability to do an AOE(Area Of Effect) Backstab But that is preferential. MMOs are all preferance. Though I agree that Guild Wars lacks any high end content and the high end aint all that high. Lvl 20 is easy peasy to hit.

I am unsure of the port abilities. I know that if they do make it so you can port over your character it will be without weapons and gear. That is usually the case.

I guess you will just have ot wait and see, wontcha?

I just splashed my keyboard looking at those screenshots. But then again - I'm weird like that sometimes. Any idea on release dates for the PC yet?

The PC version should be released along with the X-Box version in November. Oblivion is a flag-ship RPG for the 360/only RPG for it at the moment. But bethesda has always been about the PC first and foremost. This game has been in production for almost 6 years.
