My history of PC gaming:

Warhammer Rites of War crashes in 20 minutes every time
Quest for Glory 5 always crashes near the end
Baldurs Gate 2 demo crashes within 10 minutes of playing
Dungeon Keeper also crashes ramdonly

There is a few games I`d like for the PC but I dont know why I should bother, I have good enough specs but the games refuse to work.

Get a Playstation.

I have a Playstation and a PS2.I completed Diablo on PSX its pretty good. Never liked FPS`s but Quake 3 looked alright.

Baldur's Gate fatel error every 10 minutes.
Ultima Online- crash every hour or so, kinda sucks getting back on and seeing a gray screen
AoE- crashed half the time and didn't work the rest

consider yourself lucky red, cant play Baldur's Gate cause the comp perma fucked it.

Strange thing....... THPS2 demo runs perfectly on my Pc, but a burn copy of the complete game doesn't.....I can see the intro and all, but once it gets to the character select screen, it just exits on its own......so I cannot play ........oh well.....

hmm now that i think about it i do seem to recall baldur's gate is fixable...just dont remember how, anyone here care to help on this?

I wouldn't bother with computer games If I were you.

But some of the games are good like Baldurs Gate (in the mail right now I hope),Black and White and Fallout1+2 they`re also much cheaper than the PS2 games which are the only console system out now with new stuff.

Yes you are right, but, the point is stability and quality. Playstation has them both, plus it has quantity. Am I wrong?

Playstion had some really crappy games but yeah its where most of the good games went but this is slso the arguement for X-Box as its a stable PC basicaly.

I hope the future will prove you right, in my opinion I don't think many people will buy Xbox here in Greece....

Get someone to make sure your graphics card working properly, thats usually the problem.

Graphics is Intel on board AGP and I have problems with low spec games.

Well there are lots of things that can go wrong with that.

In the BIOS it should really be set to PCI Graphics as the AGP option is for seperately purchased AGP graphics card. DirectX 7.0 or better is neccessary to get the thing working properly and should be installed before you install the graphics drivers. Also check for a system device in the settings that says PCI to PCI bridge, as this is wrong and you should have a driver on your drivers disks that overwrites this system device. And there are other things too.

Check for the problems I've mentioned. If you seriously want it working properly then send me a PM with more details and I'll see if I can help.

I don't want to get too technical here unless you think it may help other people too.

p.s. Never get someone who 'knows computers' to do this kind of stuff, always get someone qualified with a lot of experience.

As a side note, some may not know this, but you can get a USB device that can make your Playstation controller work with your PC, I think they still have them on e-bay, they work really well, the analog sticks work as analog, but the rubble feature doesn't work (yet).
