so there's a new castlevania game out....i've been wantin' to get Devil May Cry 3, but i think that might have to go on hold since i saw the new Castlevania....i don't know anything about it nor heard anybody talk about it, so i was wonderin' if any of you knew anything about it....specifically, is it better than Lament of Innocence?

I so need that game- it looked so cool in the magazine- and I'm a Castlevania fan anyways.

I don't want it- I NEED it.

No Castlevania game will ever compare to the awesomeness of Symphony of the Night

true that....except, was it Dracula X, isn't that the Japanese version of Symphony of Night....i heard that was a bit better than Symphony.....but w3rd......

all about map coverage baby....oh yeah! i think i'm at 245+% (or somewhere there abouts)......oh, and i have every item in the game......

I had every item in the game once- but my brother erased it- pissed me the fuck off- now I'm at level 79 and hell- I have no idea how I'm going to get to level 99 without being on for days on end. I have almost every item- but I have every weapon. I love that game- got my husband addicted to it. Its a great game- just gets annoying when the enemies don't give you much experience except for 1 experience and some give you 0 experience. oh well. And Lament of innocence- that's a cool game except for the using of the whip to get you to certain areas. It was hard at first. pissed me the fuck off too. But I LOVE Castlevania!

w3rd....i think i'm at level 77, or some such shit.....you can only kill the guardians for so many hours until you say "FUCK IT!"......i'm more of a map-coverage player anyway....all about the glitches baby!

wow, that person is totally devoted to map glitching.......back in the day, their website used to just be a picture of his map.........now it's jam-packed (yay! how often to get to use that phrase?) with shit.......says they have 416.9% map coverage....with a picture to boot.........

holy shit- that is a shit load of map coverage- got to print that- yes so i'm going to cheat- but how am i going to find the weaknesses-hmmm- I remember when I first played the game I got into some room but now I cannot find it---- damn it. I'll have to start playing the game again- thank goodness I have it saved.

there's a lot of ways to do the glitches....that page is loaded with them.....the most famous (as it was the first discovered) was the sword brothers glitch near the chapel....but another popular one is the heart-fresh glitch......it's pretty simple really......you need the duplicator to do it, and at least 2 heart refreshes.....equip the duplicator and a heart refresh in each hand....go to an edge of a room (like when you walk through and the screen changes to another room)....well, what you do is get near the entrance to the next room, but don't go in....jump like you're going to go into the next room, but as soon as you jump hit a heart refresh, then the other one (like SQAURE, THEN CIRCLE) and keep going back and forth.....if you jumped right, and if you keep using the heart refreshes enough times, you'll fall through the floor, giving you access to parts of the castle you normally can't go.......if you go to where the NIGHTMARE is (remember that spot? where it looks like a save point, but was actually a protal to the nightmare where you fight that crow-witch-bitch who pretends to be your mother)....anywho, if you do the heart refresh glitch there, and when you're in the floor, stop heart refreshing and you'll be beneath that room, move alucard to the other side.....if done right, you'll end up in an RIGHT-SIDE-UP-CASTLE glitch version of The Outer-Wall, located in the UPSIDE-DOWN-CASTLE near the caves.......pretty nifty.....have fun, good luck, and have lots of patience.......

but just out of curiousity, how much of SYMPHONY of NIGHT expert are you?

lets see my brother has caught me sleeping and playing the game at the same time- so I guess because I know just about where everything is and what enemies are there- I can actually play the game with my eyes closed or even when I'm dead asleep- of course when that happens- I'm always awakened and in denial and embarassment.

hahahaha.....honestly, i've done something similar.....when killing gaurdians for level-ups, i had it timed down so perfectly i just sat back and closed my eyes.....

but yeah, the one thing that pisses me off the most is my monster list, i don't have the mudman from whatever boss it was....gah!

but yeah, i ain't played that game in forever...think i'll hafta bust it out and keep on truckin'.......

Devil May Cry 3 completely rocked the house! I truly enjoyed playing it...worth it immensely.

Castlevania: Lament of Innocence was awesome too........a very "lush" game. (If you're into puzzles like me, you'll love it.) The graphics are incredible; the gameplay is well worth it.

Play Castlevania first, then DMC3.
