I never understood turkey, must be an american thing but a turkey here costs $40 uncooked. A cooked chicken with stuffing costs about $8. I would rather have 5 cooked chickens than 1 raw turkey any day.

Turkeys are native to the Americas. It makes sense that we would eat game that's native to the place in which we live. Furthermore, why would someone want to take the time to cook 5 different birds.. when you can cook just one and feed a dozen people?
