Does anyone actually still make homemade iced tea? I've been thinking about doing this as a buddy of mine down south loves it and raves about it, so if anyone does make it, how do you go about doing it? I have found a couple of recipes online, but would like some input by people here

That recipe would work, but if you're making sweetened iced tea, add the sugar to the hot tea and stir until it is dissolved, then add the cold water ( I use 1 1/2 C. sugar per gallon)....instead of adding lemon to the tea, I stick a wedge on the lip of the glass when it's served...Luzianne tea is the best to use for iced tea, especially if you make in unsweetened...it doesn't get cloudy...

Thanks guys. I am going to give that a try tonight and see how I like it. Found a few other ones to try as well and am looking into the "sweet tea" now as well.

my mom used to make it all the time when i was a kid, she never makes it anymore tho.

and my mate fucking loves sweet tea, but then again hes a southern boy. NC to be exact and i dont know one southerner who doesnt love the stuff. i used to gag when i lived in NJ and would order iced tea at a restaurant and it was unsweetened. the fucking sugar wouldnt dissolve in cold tea. what a bitch.

i like unsweetened tea.....but i'm a yank.....
