I used to be a regular conisseur, but after spending a while drinking regularly, I all of a sudden got bored with it, and I haven't had more than 1 beer every 2 weeks in about...... oh, 9 months or so. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that stuff became fun when I got drunk at college, but when I get drunk with my friends now, it's seldom exciting.

But, technically, I think alcohol is great, provided you know what to drink. I brake for rum. Most mixed drinks that contain rum are good with me. Some kinds of vodka can be pretty good, too, though I'm not that big a fan of plain ol' vodka. As far as beer goes, I tend to drink pricey beer; I can't drink any of the major American brands anymore. This country has some amazing beers, but they're usually very localized, or shipped to a very limited number of places. There's a brewery here in Cleveland that makes awesome beerses, but you wouldn't know about it if you lived elsewhere (for the most part).

I'm a stout/lager drinker; I can't handle "thin" tasting stuffs. Hella weak. I also like beers that are so high in alcohol content that it's funny. If you ever see Double Bastard Ale on the rack, get it. But only drink one, or you'll be dead.

Pot is better...

I spent a few younger years loving alcohol, and my parents used to give it to mixed with water when I was a child, so like most people that grow up with alcohol readily available I've never seen the novelty. In a lot of European countries there isn't an age limit for wine, only spirits, and in some, if a child is accompanied by their parents they can drink what they want.

These days I'd rather have a nice cup of tea.

I just had a friend point a sawed-off shotgun at me because he was so drunk. I'm not liking alcohol very much right now either.

i prefer having a joint to getting drunk, but i do enjoy a drink everything so often.

but the whole thing about drink making the nicest person turn into a psycho, is a load of bollocks, they only become like that if they have those personality traits already in them.

alcohol releases whatever feelings you have been suppressing, so if you're a nice person who gets walked over an you down a drink or two, theres a good chance you'll turn into a psycho.
