Sex, I mean... in a relationship? in life?


Sex is almost a must in any relationship, to me.

In life, well, I miss the fun, but can deal with it.

I like sex, absolutely, but it really isn't all that good without some sort of passion.

As for life, it's healthy (isn't it?) so yea, it's good if you can get some.

sex maintains an intimacy in a relationship that keeps the couple close...they say when a relationship is falling apart, the first thing to go is the sex, once that's gone, there's not much hope for it...

I think it depends on if you're used to getting it. Kind of like with anything else really.

i'd say it's pretty damn important, especially in a relationship. i don't think you can honestly have a relationship unless there is sexual intimacy.

I couldn't have a relationship without sex. It's just not an option. I have a high libido and when I'm attracted to someone it's all the more intense.
I prefer sex within a relationship, but sometimes the thrill of sexual relations with someone I probably shouldn't has got the better of me.

That's just what I was going to say.
However, a lot of the disabled people I know didn't start out that way, so their marriages already had the base on which to survive the no sex thing.

Mental intimacy is far more important to me, being able to think in the same direction.
People's jobs and such take them away sometimes, and it's a shame if the lack of sex is the only thing that kills a relationship.

I would rather my husband didn't get his dick cut off in an industrial accident, but it happens, and I'd love him just the same....

Well, without getting too graphic, in my experience those without genitals or feeling in them have their sexuality in their heads, they get mental pleasure from watching porn and stuff, even though there is no way for them to feel it physically, so maybe I'd blow my credit card limit on sexy undies and dance about a bit for him.

i don't think quads intentionally date each other. usually relationships compliment both people, so if someone can't move their arms and legs i doubt they'll go looking for someone with the same problem.

Oh Lord...I didn't want to go this far but I will...ew...but often if there's damage there's not much in the way of testosterone, and sex is very different without sex hormones.
So, ew, a few weeks back a patient, let's call him Bob, was being particulary weird, (he is 52 and has a severe learning disability and limited mobility) taking off his clothes, rubbing himself on the female (and male) patients, punching walls etc, we put him in his room and left him to masterbate.
