I wear face paint a grass skirt dance around a bon fire pounding my chest and grunting. MAting rituals? wow i've never heard that term used for dating othe than when talkin about tribes and animals. I'm just honest i flirt i let them know that i might be intereste d but not let them be sure of it, i'm the weet taker type its what i do and i have a lot of fun do ing, it's not about money and it never should be.but to each their own.

I'm usually quiet and reserved when not around my group of friends.. if approached, it's usually a compliment on how I dance or whatever is going on that evening. If I like someone and I feel there is mutual feeling back, it'll just follow naturally... I never try and "swoon" someone over I figure, if it takes an above average effort to get with a particular person, it's just not worth it.

it depends on the girl. sometimes a super cheesy pick up line or joke will make them laugh and that can start it off. my buddy has his trademark trick where he walks up to the girl, gets down on one knee and starts proposing to her. chicks love it. sometimes it's good to meet a girl on the dancefloor becuase if a chick doesn't dig you, she won't dance with you. that can be a good gauge to see if you should talk to her. i don't smoke, but i try to always have a lighter on me. if girls ask for a light it can be a good way to start up conversation. other times it just happens. girls like a guy that is confident enough to try things, so be inventive. the worst she can say is 'no thanks.'

I do the Zippo thing, too. It's always cool having a nice Zippo. And a buddy of mine has done the proposal thing once but it didn't fly too well. haha. I had forgotten about that.

As for dancing, I've noticed how different it is at what type of dance bar you go to. A friend of mine is into classier dancing, such as salsa and cuban dancing. You generally meet nicer, sophisticated, hotter (to me) and more intelligent women there, rather than your usual bump n' grind dance floor. Conversation is usually easier after "classy" type of dancing, because you can spark up an easy convo about where you learned to dance and etc...

It always turns me off when you're dancing with a girl and she's all grinding against you or whatever and then she tries locking lips to you and after the dance, she's pulling the same thing to another guy. Ugh.

Dancing's the only way I start talking to girls (outside of school or work or whatever)... I'm not the "buy you a drink" kinda guy and whatever else there generally is.

other than maybe dropping the odd hint that I am interested in someone, who has dropped hints at me, I never had to work at it. Therefore I have no strategies.

no, I don't need to do the eye contact thing. Basically what I meant is that if I am interested in a chick, I will wait to find out if she is interested in me first, if she is, then I will let her know that I am interested in her, usually through a 3rd party.

i've started many a night with exactly that. the trick is to find the girl doing that at the beginning of the night, not the end. otherwise you'll be tasting every guy in the whole bar.

it always goes back to what you're after that night though. if you want a chick to just fuck then that works out fine, but if you're looking for a chick to marry, that probably isn't the best tactic.


funny story:

last friday some friends and i went to a local bar to grab some beers. the bar is more of a punk style bar, but you get all types of people there. my buddy walks up to the bar to buy the next round for us and some fat chick on a bar stool starts talking to him. i wasn't really paying attention, but suddenly my other friend starts busting up. i look over and my buddy at the bar is leaning as far back as possible while this fat chick is trying to go in for a kiss. when he gets back to the table we make fun of him for a minute, but no longer than maybe 2-3 minutes later we look back and she's making out with some other random dude.

it's one thing to try and hook up with a few people in the same night, but within just a few minutes? hahaha... that's award winning.

(edit) haha wait, I just re-read what I posted earlier, and yeah, you are right it does look that way. I didn't mean this is how I intentionally go out and pick up chicks, its just that for the last 15 yrs of my life I have been in only 2 relationships, yes, they were very long, and the first one I was hooked up with her by a friend, so he would be the 3rd party. As for my current one, well she was in a relationship when we met, as was I, and as I don't make habit of busting up ppls relations, I did not persue her ... so once again, it was a 3rd person who let me know she was interested, and well, that person knew I was as well ........... so its just the way things happened to work out. As for flings in between here and there, there were no 3rd parties involved, but I never used any specific methods, we just kinda "hooked up"

I don’t do anything really…Unless I really want. Then I get! Sometimes and that’s not always cuz its 'you come to me…I don’t go to you!' But sometimes I’ll just go up to him and flirt and talk and stuff. Or I’ll do the eye contact from the dance floor and the lip biting and touching…ya then I got em hocked! Never once failed me!
I don’t really do anything special and its not hard to get a guy’s attention to come over…
