Ok, here's your chance to prove he doesn't exist. I'm bored so I'm just doing this...

Ok, its very simple. The arguement goes something like this.

"I offer no proof of my existance," says God, "For proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing."

So if you prove he exists, you deny faith and there is no God. Can you prove, beyond a doubt, that God exists? Keep in mind, you'll prove the non-existance of God when you do this.

My bible states this on faith.

[Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.] heb 11:1

I believe I will see him soon. If I see him will he disapear?

Faith can lie within things that are real and those that are not, you can have faith in an invisible friend, or you can have faith in a car to get you home even if it's leaking transmission fluid like a deep wound.

Then again for us to have faith in anything, it must therefore exist be it within our minds our within our world.

Then again who cares?

i'm sure god is happy up there with all the other gods and goddesses of ages past...it's most of his "flock" that I find annoying...

I don't dislike God TFW. I think you know my views on this subject well enough to know that. I dislike those who would say every other religion is wrond except Christianity.

You however, don't do that, and will hold intelligent conversation and not defame. It's very nice.

If you prove he exists then he`s still there he`s just "nothing". You prove that he exists as an illusion.

You dont know if Christianity is true or not.
So how can you make that statement.
You either know or you dont, and would have an open mind to find the truth.

I have done studys on other religions. I have a relationship with God, he proves himself to me, building my faith more and more.
I dont remember everything that I studied about the others, because once I found the truth, there was no need for the others.

If the majority of your society worshipped the tooth fairy, you would not dislike the tooth fairy, because, well, she doesn't exist. The dogma promoting the belief in the tooth fairy, however, you probably would be a little unhappy with.

How do you know the toothfairy doesnt exist?

Noone is talking about some tooth fairy. The fact that most scientist believe there is a God, gives alot of room for debate.
The fact that 9 out of 10 believe there is a God gives another.
And the fact that around 5 billion are influenced by Jewish/Christian/Muslim/Catholic/Morman/Jehovah(they believe in Moses, Abraham, and Jesus as prophets of there own God).

Now I dont have all of the numbers sitting in front of me, but that is very close.

Chritians 1.9 billion
Catholics 1.2 billion
Muslims 1 billion
Hindu 700 million (I think)

bah, no matter how much i argue against the concept of faith, people will still be needy enough and stupid enough to hope that some paternal diety out there is waiting with open arms to take away their earthly misery. fine... i will keep arguing against, no matter how bitter it makes me... i will FIGHT against them should they choose to threaten me... i will NOT accept that humanity cannot step out from its frail umbrella and evolve to deal with the rains of solitude and despair...

we are stronger than this... we shouldnt need a god to tell us he loves us. love isnt free, but love only matters between mortals. immortals have no need of love if they can create at will someone to love them. it is only where love is precious and fleeting that it has any real value... and that lies amoung us.

The truth can be seen in many ways in many perspectives. For each man and woman, boy and girl, and all life that exists there is a spesific truth for each one, and a spesific puprose. And we humans have the ultimate choice. Each of us if we want we can communicate with what we have faith in, and it does not have to be a God. It can be anything. And once someone finds the truth, he/she/it does not let it go. As its supposed to. I said it before, each religion is a path to the Truth.

What about those serial killers that believe in killing people for there own pleasure?
If they are athiests and dont believe in the rule of do onto others as you would yourself. Then who are you to tell them what to believe?
There are tribes of cannibles also, and I think they believe in some kind of God. Are you going to force your closed minded beliefs on them?

My statement; belief does not a Truth make.
Shall I define it for your shallow little cognitive faculties.
Belief will most often lead to Faith. Both Faith and belief cannot result in a Truth. If they did they would no longer be either a belief or a Faith. For both of those rely on vague premises of divine acknowledgement, not on fact. The Truth is fact. If you knew the Truth you would have no need for faith or belief. So no, Truth will not make a belief.

My post about the tooth fairy was meant to explain my personal feelings. You may want to get used to this, Light, as many people will post from their own perspective. If you understood that I cannot hate something I do not believe exists, then you understtod the point of my post.

A key word in the bibles definition of faith is assurance.
God is the author and finisher of my faith, he does this spiritualy.
He is a teacher to me bringing light to darkness.
Over and over he has proven his word worthy to me.

Ill put it to you like this.
Lets say you have a tv set, with rabbit ears.
You get a picture how?
By the air waves that is being broadcast by a station.
You dont see them, but you know its there because your tv works.

That is the same faith that I have, I dont see God, but I see his product in my life.
Doing and reading the bible, prayers, spiritual gifts, maturity that is comeing from being a product of Gods word.

You turn on a tv. I turn on Gods word.
You ever read the whole bible?
You ever call out to God to help you , to show you the way?

Who is this satan?
Who is he to you?
How do you know him?
Why do you listen to him?
Does he have a book for your life?
