dark red italic I am beggining to wonder what religion I am anymore, cause I do pray to God and yet other times I find myself thinking about the more spirtual side of me and wanting to talk to the dead and to make things happen for myself. I don't know what to belive. Someone help me out here

my advice is read anything and everything...if you are at the point of finding your own spirituality, you have to make sure it is indeed meant for you...be careful with the spirits, they are liars and horrible spellers, and read over the threads here...there are many different beliefs and followings, ask many questions, and observation is the key...just enjoy and stay firmly centered and planted...happy and safe explorations...

And ask us anything, we've all stumbled down that path already.

The thing to remember is that your faith finds you rather than the other way round.

so you are saying that I shoudl go and find my own religion then and perhaps should build my own and stick to it??

In a sense yes...a religion should be one that you find peace and joy in...I enjoy the keltic patheon and focus more on the earth powers...others are more into the mind powers, and some are very ecclectic with a mix and match approach to their beliefs. I highly doubt if you will find any here who will tell you that you have to be this or you have to practice that...and anyone who does...is no different than the religion you seem to be losing faith in...

Look how many religions (technically at least) actually follow the same god just in different ways, there should be no problem with taking bits and pieces from any number of religions and grafting them onto your own beliefs.
I still go to church some sundays even though my beliefs have moved way beyond that, I don't see any real problem theologically with that.
In my view (and that of every version of the bible you can dig up) Free will is the most important thing God gave to us, just following a religion like a sheep is rejecting that gift, which would you be more pissed off with, someone making good use of a gift you gave them or stashing it in a box under the stairs?

I would have to say that I would be most pissed if someone hid a gift under the stairs that God gave them. I heard something weird yesterday that made me think. You know the whole thing with Hitler or whatever. I heard that the reason all that stuff went down was cause God was punishing people. I think that is messed up....I don't know. What do people seem to think of that??

Disasters have always been attributed to God punishing people, it's the way of the small minded world.
With Hitler I think the thing is we simply cannot fathom the ammount of deaths he is responsable for, the only way we can deal with it is to bring God into the equation.

I read a book one time that had a litte thing about Hitler in it. It kind of explained that Adolf was truly not an evil person, but at some early age he had been possessed by a dragon, and the evil of the dragon grew within him, causing hate and war all around him. Anyways, that was just from a fiction book...

My advice to you Ice, is to find your own religion... your own beliefs. Read about all you can of religions, and philosophies and beliefs. As you do that, THINK FOR YOURSELF. Ask yourself questions, and ask questions of the beliefs that you read about. If you come to just accept something just because it says that That is the way it is... You are losing yourself to alot of other people have already lost to. And that is conformity.

If you think that it is Possible that a "God" could have created the universe... Ask, How? Ask, Why? Ask, When? Always ask questions. I have my own beliefs, but yet, I STILL question them. And until I find a better answer, I'm sticking with those certain beliefs. Find what suits your heart. Find what suits your Mind.

Yea people often say that Hitler was the devil in the flesh. I don't know if I believe that cause he killed himself and not to mention the fact that if it is true God was punishing them. Fuck that though cause I mean more black people and I think it was Catholics if I am right on that were killed at that time than Jews were.

Exactly so I dont know why they make such a big deal about only "jews" its a bunch of shit if you ask me. that is why i turn my heart cold sometimes when it comes to stuff like that. our driver made us go to some thing in this town here and watch some lady who supposivly new an frank talk and the whole time i was going "Yun Hoy!!" then i fell asleep.
