1) has a Christian religious heritage,
2) is waxed exceedingly rich,
has the blood of Saints and Martyrs on her hands,
4) has tremendous religious influence throughout the world,
5) is clothed in purple and scarlet,
6) is located near the Mediterranean Sea,
7) is full of abominations, primarily idols,
8) is heavily adorned with gold and jewels,
9) is primarily represented by a woman instead of Jesus Christ,
10) is carrying a golden chalice, significant to her identity,
11) influences world political leaders because of her religious power,
12) sits on seven mountains or hills.

actually i found the actual passage, and it says...sits on many waters... i'll explain a little more clearly

america has fornicated with many worldly powers, the statue of liberty is often times the first thing that represents america, many people are "enflamed" by the most recent fornications against iraq...it's no doubt that we have many rich...and it was founded mainly by those escaping religious persecution from england...leaving us connected to royalty...and who isn't persecuted these days over here? I realized that the list says it's on the mediterrerian sea, however this one says it sits on many waters...how many oceans and gulfs surround the continent, and look at how many "idols" are placed before jesus? (rockstars, movie stars, oscars, television...etc.)

All that sitting on a scarlet blah and such sounds like it deals with a city founded on blood.

the original city of babylon is located in Iraq. Saddam was actually having sections of it renovated and rebuilt. He was planning on resurecting the entire city eventually.

jesus christ men, i posted the original text, it's many waters, not specified as the meditter...i hate spelling that sea!...

the specified mediterrerian is from a persons personal website, many people are trying to make it fit rome...as most of the countries that aren't liked are around there, naturally there are those that would "enhance" parts to make it fit more their theory...

I have always taken the Bible as a literal translation. Archelogy and historians are continuously finding information that supports everything the bible reported as factual history.

the prophesies made in the bible have been proven historically correct. So why not babylon?
