Yeah, I watched a thing about this stuff the other day on the SCI-FI channel. Basically, the earth is surrounded by, or possibly, covering lines of power that criss-cross and intersect in various locations. There's like thousands of them around the world, Arizona, Montana, and the desert art in the Mojave (not too sure of the accuracy on the last one. could be in mexico.) are just a few.
Supposedly, when you come across one, your body tingles and you feel a great sense of physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Never had a chance to visit any myself, so I can't vouch for it... the physical, tingly stuff...doesn't happen, but there are things that do, worlds beyond some strange sensations...
a marble rolling up hill, a large gear and chain leaning against the slope of the cabin, boards you can brace your foot against and lean far forward without falling, all the trees surrounding the vortex are all bent in towards the center, it's nestled in a pine forest that's been growing for years before anyone not native lived here.
i like the lay line theory...that would be glorioius because it could lead credence to other, spiritual claims people make and experience...if there's one verifiable, unexplainable phenomenah, no one can deny or justify...maybe there's other stuff out there the skeptics have no, power of disbelief over. It's important to note that anomalies in the Magnetic field are featured in a wide variety of major paranormal phenomenon; everything from UFO sightings to Crop Circles. A number of hypothesis have been put forward to explain the relationship. For example; if Magnetic Anomalies cause people to somehow percieve paranormal phenomenon, or are caused by paranormal events themselves. Crop Cirlces seem to bear out the latter case however.
Which sways me to the side of Magnetic Anomalies indicating an over-lap of energy fields: Although I'm still uncertain on exactly what that entails. de vagorum ordine dico vobis iura

I find it hard to take any physical or spiritual anomaly seriously if it has a gift shop.

i saw this place on tv once.
i do agree with frog. all these things built here to cater for tourists just... take the mystery and suchlike out of it for me.
its something i'd like to see as it does interest me, i find them curious. but alot of their website is... rather... tourist manufactured. the building of the "healing labyrinth" and suchlike... sorry... no.
some places i have been i have felt things. but some... nothing. stonehenge for instance, to me just felt like a pile of rocks. sure it amazed me how it had been built, but... nothing. bodmin gaol, i found a cell where the murderer of an ancestor of mine had been hanged for his crime. i felt something there.

Just because there's a gift shop there, doesn't mean the actual phenomenon doesn't exist there. That just means some capitalist bastard wants to make a quick buck on unsuspecting idiots. They're not sure really how the stones were originally situated. They just built them back the way they thought they should be. Which, to me, seems like would have dispelled any kind of "phenomenon" that occurred there. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

it's the only one i've ever experienced, so i can't speak for other locations, but it's phenomenah that even my uber skeptic psychology teacher couldn't deny. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Here in florida we have sinkholes which are like vortexes in the sand, they pretty much destroy whatever they're under like the road specifically because of all the weight, it has some to do with weight but it also has to do with gravity. I wonder if more sinkholes or whirlpools occur where there is a distinct irregularity in the gravitational pull. kangaroo done hung the guilty with the innocent.

Not in my town. We've got pretty great public parks...not much else, but the parks are nice. Why pay unless you're planning on spending the entire day, or camping out overnight? Shadowborn To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
