I'm a Libra. Yes I do read up on it. Sometimes I do believe in it and on some of the stuff it says is just crap.

Day to day horoscopes are entertaining yet silly and totally belie the indepth and intricate study that is astrology.

and thats where astronomy comes in... it is a much more accurate and pure study then astrology is, which i believe has become something that gives people hope and entertainment... its like the british and american tabloids...

but that doesnt mean they dont hold any truth... for example, i checked my horocope recently and it stated to specific things that would happen in the near future in my life accurately in both details/description and time and both things came out true... so in short, most of it is bs but some is true, since it is loosely based on astronomy...

the accuracy of the horoscopes all depends when and where you were born... for example, my birth date is june 21, and that date is actualy in between the signs of cancer and gemini... so i got qualities of both signs, which makes my horoscopes not exactly accurate, but once in a while, like i mentioned above, they come true...

for someone who is born right in the middle of two birth date constraints of a sign, their horoscopes will be much more accurate

p.s.: if you would like to know the two details of my life that came true as predicted by the horoscope, they are: 1) it said a really old friend would move in as a neighbour unexpectedly, which came true.. and 2) a new upgrade in my life would come such as a brand new car, which came true(2004 corolla)... and the dates were pretty accurate as well...

I think you're just a little bit confused with the differences between astronomy and astrology. And even though they both on a very basic level have to do with "stars" they are vastly different. For one, Astrology is not quite considered a "science" as such, but needless to say astrologers are fighting against that notion. "Serious" astrologers also wish to distance themselves from 'day-to-day horoscope predictions'.

In short Astronomy is: The science which investigates all the matter-energy in the universe: its distribution, composition, physical states, movements, and evolution.

Which looks pretty close to what Astrology is about, I mean needless to say astrology concerns itself with the very planets astronomers study. The actual star signs however are based on "mythical" shapes which ancient star gazers saw in the night sky. Astrology studies the movement of the planets, their aspects and relationships towards each other and their specific influences as they move through each star sign.

Taurus, and I'll only read my horoscope if I'm bored and there's nothing left to read. I think that most horoscopes are written general enough to apply to anyone though.

You're a Virgo, very close to Libra yes, but there would be many factors to take into account when one does a Natal Chart.


Star Signs are very general, it's when one does a Natal Chart that you get to the finer details.

Haha well at least not when you go abroad. There you would be down to earth, practical but loving the finer things in life. You're generally very reliable but you can be exceedingly stubborn. You're a bull after all I.e. "bullheaded". You like security and stability in material as well as emotional matters. You do have loads of common sense but you lack flexibility, it's a fixed sign after all and like I said already... Stubbbbborn!! You like visually pleasing and beautiful things in your surroundings, so you will prefer to have material things that display your sensual tastes. You like all sensual pleasures mind you, but then who doesn't!

You can be rather possessive though! You do enjoy entertaining or spending loads of money on those you love, but you can be a bit lazy. That's ironic as you're also a hard worker. Body building is actually associated with Taurus so it's no surprise you did that, Taurans like physical exercise! Whether in a gym or between the proverbial sheets!
