I was christened an Anglican also, but I don't follow that road either.
Just like Grim above, I believe in bits and pieces of different "religions" perse all rolled into one. However, I will say that I believe I'm more Wiccan than anything.

I personally don't see how nihilism could become a religion.
According to the dictionary, religion
a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
Or
a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects:
there are many more as well...
Sure you could get a group of people to claim that they're nihilist.
What would they believe their purpose in life would be?
Who or what are they going to worship?
Plus, even if you had a set of beliefs...most of them would be derived from other religious beliefs even if they're morals.
I think moral beliefs come from religious beliefs or they're univeral beliefs that we all agree on and hope peope will follow.

ummm, a religion doesn't mean that life has a purpose, but that it concerns the purpose of life (or lack thereof, a' la nihilism) and err... anything could really be a religion with enough imagination and a few ammendments. and when it says 'esp. ... w/ gods' it doesn't mean always w/ gods. and about morals and beliefs, i don't see that directly relating to religion at all. ethics, maybe, but religion i don't know O divine art of subtlety and secrecy! There are several interpretations as well. I like the concise translations myself. Most are physical laws. Perpetual vibration. Causal effect. Paradox and implication
Fun stuff.
It can be considered positive thinking as it does promote positive feeling even though it also implies that one reaps what one sows. We agree with Proteus. You show us these "gods" and we will know they exist. We have seen things in our time to believe daemons exist.

i used to have this arguement, and then was asked how can i believe in one aspect of the supernatural, and not others?
thinking about it, i was sort of silly, denying gods, yet practicing with those who couuld be considered gods by others, i just had to decide what god offered me more, joy. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Jordyn, we stick to our motto. Ipso Facto. If it doesn't exist then it cannot be seen. If it can be seen or rather HAS been seen then it exists. Just like the everyday items you enteract with. You can see them, feel them. They exist. SHOW us a "god" and we will believe it exists, not necessarily worship it, but believe or know it exists. The arguement can go on and on and on.
