Oh come on!Afcorse every religion is a bit selfish. So what?!Looks like there is something not selfish in this world...It is a stimulation of progres, and actualy believing in something(anything)protecs people from stagnation and depresion. Most of religions-rubish!But why not to let people believe, fight for that etc...And we can just enjoy the wiev...Ok maybe I am abit hard, but i like to lie to me sometimes...It makes life more sineful...And besides if you are satanist you believe in life after...

Religion is the best ways to control people on a large scale to accomplish a goal. Leaders invoke religion as a way of saying "we're on gods’ side you better be on my side". The Iraq war is a perfect example of people’s religion being used for the fight of power, on both sides really. When religion teaches peace it is pushed into peoples heads that the people we fight don't count because they're godless.
It's funny how religions cause people to act in the opposites of those they are based upon.
Which is why I use the phrase: Christians don't act like Christ, Buddhists don't think like Buddha, and Scientologists aren't scientists.
I am open minded but can't say I'm anything but someone who will always question.
So I guess agnostic. "The undeserving maintain power by promoting hysteria.”

Religion is a human invention and therefore not perfect. Religion is a feeble human attempt to explain God which is impossible. Faith is matter of personal choice. For me if you don't have faith you are not human. Faith leads to love and love to knowledge, understanding, wisdom and ultimately freedom. Again it's up to you to choose freedom or slavery :-) To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. Since when faith leads to love?...Faith is just the other sort of slavery-you can't change you faith,it is like your birthmark leading person all his life.

not true, faith can be changed like underwear...especially now a days when you can get them a dime a dozen on any bookstore shelf
i recently changed my faith...on a drastic scale, and even before that my twenty years of occultism my faith changed, faith from spirits to more fetish materials, to polytheism and witchcraft, finally ending up on the God side of things...no longer having faith in my attunement with the animal world, but being a creation of the divine...
faith changes when the person does, to expect it to stay the same their entire life...is what brings the worse out of the faithful, when they've known nothing but what they've been fed from birth, from others who took it with s spoon.
some people can have faith in love, but one must be careful when living for, too few in the world understand the differences between them. My new faith has led me to love the divine and myself as a human that's worth more than what i used to believe i was.
i'm now a temple for God...before i was just a conduit for their own needs, that's what a change of faith can do. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Eh I'm very broad. I love religions in general, so I consider myself as a universalist. I'm more of a Wiccan and a bit of Muslim in there.

I mostly agree with coldandsilent.
i personally dont follow one religion because i find it way too hindering and confiding. I study religion though like wicca, shamanism, druidry, different types of satanism. So ive taken parts of all these and just call myself an occultish or an eclectic witch/pagan.

I believe in the possibility of a force, call it karma or whatever you want, that punishes people within their lifetime.
This "religion" requires no praying/meditating. Instead, this requires a work-out routine, the gathering of knowledge (reading, studying, or whatever), the seeking of the facts, and the "debunking" of things deemed false (those without verification of empirical evidence).
Certain things deemed "unexplained" should always be carefully scrutinized and are left to the individual as to whether or not they should be deemed "possible" or "impossible." Usually, these things are scrutinized in a way as to be labeled "plausible" or "implausible." | Damn. I wrote that almost five years ago! It's interesting for me to go back and read this that I wrote. It was utter confusion. But I remember that this was part of the beginning of my "addiction" to the Internet. Soon after this, I posted the following: Quote:

My answer to that question is that I am a Bright. I will argue my points in another thread if the need be. | I love that. Especially since I still consider myself a Bright today. I am much pleased by this. >:-) To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

I mostly agree with coldandsilent also. To think that you know just as much about the question 'why' as every human being, that has EVER lived, is pretty cool. The mystery is the fun part.
But.. I have to say I am close to being a Daoist(or Taoist), because unlike Buddhism, or any other "religion" it is more of a philosophy then an actual Religion.

I don't find myself very spiritual, and definitely not religious. Then again, I'm in transition I suppose. I tried the christian thing for a long time, and I guess I really bought it for awhile, too.
I guess I'm agnostic now. If you're gonna ride my ass, at least pull my hair.
