To much of us a religion is input to us.
But when you are older you choice to change it , and at time you go around to many.
My question is
what does this have to do with out belif in god?.
I mean it was the first thing we based out self's with, but why did we change.
Were we lied to..?
Or did we find the truth?. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. | |

at some point people are able to think for themselves, and that's when a change or more educated about the religion...it really has nothing to do with god, but what you need to empower your life...we weren't born knowing a religion, it's a learned process... I like the way small children identify God. Like a nice old man in the sky. Someone who looks after you, and cares for you. Someone who takes the people who die, to a better place, where they are happy.
It is a very simple idea, but very beautiful. Then comes the dogma, and things become less pure. | |

Unfortunately most parents wish for their children to grow up in a world without pain or hurt. They decide that Mainstream is the easiest way to gain acceptance as a human being. They allow themselves to be brainwashed by society to do the right thing, never mind being true to yourself.
It covers every area including religion, what clothes, what is acceptable punishment, even whether or not you are allowed to not like your children at times.
These concepts are carried through from the parent to the child, and the child learns that Mainstream is the only thing allowed, and fear to venture forth into uncharted waters, because if they do, the newspapers may say they are wrong, or even worse, someone might tell someone else that they are different.
The truth is, if we ignored what everyone else SAID, if we ignored what everyone else DID, we would find our own truth, and then find our own religion.
It started at the beginning of time, we just got a tad too presumptuous in the past couple thousand years. Forgiveness? That's between you and your God. You have understood it perfectly!
Proud o' ya Caveo - Saint of Carnivore, Slaughter and Death, Lifeline of the Left Hand, Slaughterer of Living, Harvester of Souls, Bringer of Doom (You ring - I bring, anybody want some?), Defiler of Creation and Devourer of All Things Containing Meat (I'm still wondering how that got there...)
The biggest problem with people,
and the greatest convenience,
is that they are humans.

Yes well, I think we all know it, just most are afraid to admit it. But... like I said before, you don't fail when you are true to self. Forgiveness? That's between you and your God. Sorry i get nerves with this topic.
I thank you water for makeing it clear.
What i think about religion is that is just there and is up to us to discover it.
At lest for me has been really hard to stay in one till i discoverd Wicca.
I dont know why the religion that was with me sence i was a child well..Did never made a impact on me.
But i guess that people do need some thing to belive in ...but god is not what i belive in . To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. | |

I believe that if a person believes than it exists...no matter what it is...back to the speak of the devil concept...to name something is to give it substance, power, a reality, and there are truths to all substances, just sometimes not so scientifically proven...or maybe a bit...clouded with imagination...but utlimately someone had to think of it for it to be... organized religion is about money in my opinion...and that's when you get the "church" concept...they want you in, but by their standards...if you don't meet those you are black balled...or even worse...excommunicated!*shivers at the thought* To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. If we ignored what everyone else said or did we`d be nihilists. Parents either wnat their kids to be better or the same as they are if they care at all.Its the other children that promote the mainstream.Maybe its diiferent for other people but no adult ever told me I had to be a certain way else people would like me, planety of people my age gave off that impression though.
Theres no age resrictions for changing your religion, we change it when we find something more suited to ourselves. The former dogma being the one that some only know for a long period of time through accpetance of what is taught or natural ignorence of those systems outside of it. Work is of two kinds: first, altering the position of matter at or near the earth's surface relatively to other such matter; second, telling other people to do so.

True...But yet there is people that will not mind to give a cople of dollars to the church.
I think is all in the way they run it..
I fell sorry for my mom ..she is going to this church.
that is ....well so to say strange..yea strange.
First time she took me{she had to drag me} and they were all..jesus loves you..I was like "no he does not" and then Jesus wil save you ....I was like"No he wont".
They tried to get me up on stage to get the "Bad Demon" out of me.
And then i said some thing that i regreat..the only Demon here is God...{no comment}
Well next time they took me ... {draging} every one will not come close to me..at least ..
But then they were tring to do it all over again...
I just ran to the car...
Any way the point of this is that ...They put a act. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. | |

Yeah that kind of force is uncalled for.
There`s always a lot of people that want you to agree with them and have the same views as they do on whatever issue.Part of having a opinion and being socal animals. Work is of two kinds: first, altering the position of matter at or near the earth's surface relatively to other such matter; second, telling other people to do so.

Theres no age resrictions for changing your religion, we change it when we find something more suited to ourselves. The former dogma being the one that some only know for a long period of time through accpetance of what is taught or natural ignorence of those systems outside of it. | Ah, but everything you learn when you are very young comes from your parents.
"don't do that, it isn't 'nice'."
"don't say that, people don't like to hear that kind of thing."
your friends would actually encourage you to prank phone call a friend, or drees grunge, but your parents say no.
Why? Because "they" are embarrassed by "your" actions, therefore they have to control you and not allow you to be all the individual you want to be.
I'm not talking about going out and vandelizing cars, or knifing someone, or shoplifting... I am talking about all the little control mechanisms employed by those who have the ability to punish you for not listening to them.
If everyone was open minded enough to teach every religion to every child, if it were required in school, just like history, or math, do you really believe that as many 18 year-olds who graduate would be a "christian" as there are now?
And do you think that these people would also be a lot less hypocritical if they were taught all religions, and could happily make their own choice without fear of retribution? My bet is that they would choose what was best for -self- and live to those parameters, and as a matter of fact, most would do it wisely.
ni·hil·ism Pronunciation Key (n-lzm, n-)
n.
Philosophy.
A doctrine holding that all values are baseless and that nothing can be known or communicated.
Rejection of all distinctions in moral or religious value and a willingness to repudiate all previous theories of morality or religious belief.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Latin nihil, nothing; see ne in Indo-European Roots + -ism.]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
nihil·ist n.
nihil·istic adj.
nihil·isti·cal·ly adv.
So - what exactly is wrong with that? Perhaps it is a path to enlightenment. It doesn't mean the moral ground they choose would be right or wrong. Forgiveness? That's between you and your God.
