| Wearing an inverted cross -
01-09-02
In Christian muthology, St. Peter, when he was brought to be crucified told his exuctioners that that was the way his savior, jesus, had been put to death and that he, a mortal man was not worthy to be killed in a like manner. So, he had hismelf crucified on an inverted cross, thus dubbing it St. Peters cross.
Now over the years, the meaning of it has been lost, as so called "luciferian" satanists (a.k.a luciferian christians)took to wearing it, most of them having no idea of the original meaning and the fact that they were indeed wearing the holiest symbol of Christianity.
I , on the other hand, am full aware of its original meaning. I do not wear it cuz of that meaning, but I am aware of it. If most anti-christians would take the time, as i do, to know their enemy, they would be better equipped to fight them. The reason i sometimes wear one has nothing to do with christian or luciferian christian mythology. I am opposed not to believe in Jesus, Satan, or God, per say, it is the institution of Christianity that i stand against. I dont care what people choose to believe if u really want to base ur life around a silly little book and go to a big building every sunday and put ur money in a plate and support a currput and injust system, that is ur own choice. I will do nothing to stop u from doing so. I believe everyone is free to decide whether they choose their own freedom or a life of servitude. I choose to be free. U may not. My problem is that there r those within the Christian circles who feel it is their right to force their beliefs into my life, who feel what I do is wrong, and they can tell me how to live, all in the name of saving my soul. To them, the cross is a symbol they use as a banner, trying to crush my being. The cross, to them, is a symbol, a holy symbol, and I turn it upside down to represent my feelings towards their institution. The inverted cross i wear means that they will fail, that the opponents of freedom will, one day, find themselves enslaved. That we will overcome their tyranny. Their cross is inverted cuz they will fall, eventually, and on that day, the cross I wear will symbolize, to me, the victory over an evil, oppressive force.

I am not a Christian.... not even close..... yet to wear a symbol that is a representation of Christianity is to support it.... because whether they admit it or not Satanists are Christians....
the best thing to do.... because you will never single handedly destroy the Christians..... is ignore them or educate yourself so as you can argue with them.... if you want a prime example of a lovely argument check out any of the old Samitchking threads... I have one cross that I wear, it's an old one from my grandmother..I don't wear it often, it's too precious and old for that, but the glittter and gold is hard to resist. Symbols are like gods, they only have power if you give it to them...otherwise it's just glitter and gold.
It is interesting to hear the story...I just always thought it was to express the opposing faction to the god based society...I wore them in highschool...everyone was
and dy...if I had to take on a christian horde, I'd want you in my corner... To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

I have a cross I've worn all my life, I never take it off.
I don't think I could if I wanted anymore because the chain won't fit over my head (No clasp)

However, most christians recognice it as a blasphemic act, not 'the holiest of all symbols'. So the shok effect still stands, and for the satanists, that is the most important thing. General satanism is not about denying christianity, irt's about annoying christianity. You can call it a narcissistic teen rebellion if you like, that would pretty much cover it. Quote: |

| Mmkay...let me see if I understood this correctly...you wear the holiest of all symbols to the chruistians to mark your distance from the religion? That really doesn't make much sense to me...If the christians, as you seem to think, regard the inverted cross as highly as you claim, why would you wear one to offend them? Quote: |

| Now that was a bit harsh, don't you think? Who is to say if you are more free in your beliefs than the christians? Which brings me to...what is your beliefs? And why are they so much more liberating and enlightened? Quote: |
My problem is that there r those within the Christian circles who feel it is their right to force their beliefs into my life, who feel what I do is wrong, and they can tell me how to live, all in the name of saving my soul.

| So...you are using the cross as a banner against them, trying to crush their faith...but when they do it against you it's wrong..? What gives you the right to claim you know the truth, you know the right faith from the wrong faith? You said you didn't care what people thought, still you try to force your own beliefs on them..maybe you should make up your mind as to what you really stand for, and stop letting rage control your actions. Not all christians put their faith into symbols. They are, after all, pretties. I have a cross somewhere. A box maybe? I'm not sure.
For the most part, i've never felt traped by my faith, i've argued with it, i've gotten mad at things, but it's also given me comfort and strenght to face the challenges I face.
*shrugs*
It always seemed to me that people are the problem, they just use religion as a mask.
People -- what have you done --
locked Him in His golden cage.
Made Him bend to your religion --
Him resurrected from the grave.
He is the god of nothing --
if that's all that you can see.
You are the god of everything --
He's inside you and me.
So lean upon Him gently
and don't call on Him to save you
from your social graces
and the sins you used to waive.
The bloody Church of England --
in chains of history --
requests your earthly presence at
the vicarage for tea.
And the graven image you-know-who --
with His plastic crucifix --
he's got him fixed --
confuses me as to who and where and why --
as to how he gets his kicks.
Confessing to the endless sin --
the endless whining sounds.
You'll be praying till next Thursday to
all the gods that you can count.
~song done by Jethro Tull As I get older i find that the word quirky gets used less, and the word mad becomes more consistent.

As for putting your faith in symbols just quote the second (Or third ) commandment to them.

Thou shalt not worship any graven image of the heavens above the earth nor that which lies below the earth.... which pretty much covers all the bases.... and to put anything on an altar where it is immediately venerated is to go against that commandment.... try telling that to a Christian though... In any case the imagry of Catholicism derives from the fact that Romans were looking at religion of jewish origin through Greco-Roman pagan eyes and the continuety of imagry was reasuring as part of there cultural traditions.
Martin Luther tried to do away with all this 'pagan' imagery but he was also a cunt.

No? I'm sure i've seen a great deal of "I'm misunderstood" and othersuch while clicking through the forum.
I'd like to reassure that some of us wretched christians do have open minds, an interest in learning, and good hearts. Go figure.
There is basically one simple belief that keeps us grouped together, but the specifics varie greatly. As I get older i find that the word quirky gets used less, and the word mad becomes more consistent.

There is basically one simple belief that keeps us grouped together, but the specifics varie greatly. | Actually it is hard to lump me in any group as that which I believe is rarely practiced...... yes the Majority often dilute the minority... sad as that may be it is the truth of the matter.... though I do attempt to delve into a persons character rather than judge them by thier beliefs... this is hard to do with Christians.... merely because once most find out that you do not have a belief in a single supreme being defined as God they react in one of two ways.... spurn you as a damned soul or attempt to convert you... you being a Christian you should be used to being typoed as a mainstream Christian.... this may not be true.... yet all Christians believe in Jesus and a single being defined as God.... this is inherent in being a Christian.... so what teachings do you believe... for instance do you believe that i am damned because of my disbelief in your God???? or perhaps you feel a strong instinct to attempt to save my soul??? what Christian beliefs do you have that differentiate you from a traditional Christian??? Also what denomination are you??? To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. S.O.D. I don't think that we haveall the answers do to the history that we follow was compiled by humans and is bound to have errors. However, yes i do believe that jesus died for our sins. I was raised presbytarian, and so that would be the most comfortable worshiping format for me to partisipate in if I were to go to a single church. I don't often go to church anymore and find that no matter where i go, the church or denomination will inturperate something differently than i do. i have not found all the answers i seek yet. Rebelling against religion by making a religion seems a tad ironic.

Ahhh, if only the open-minded could open their minds to the possibility of accepting people they view as close-minded as worthy of possessing an opinion...
I'd also like to know where exactly you think Ghandi said that, it doesn't sound like him at all. Not that the guy was a complete (metaphorical) saint, mind you...but then, no one is. I find quoting someone as your sole argument means you have complete faith in that person, which overlooks basic human frailty, which exists in everyone, even the very great...
As for myself, yes, I do believe God created the Universe, and yes, I do believe Jesus became one with God, though I'm disinclined to believe the Christmas story as it's just a cheap knock-off of Mithras, and besides which saying you have to be special from birth to become one with God defeats the purpose. I think everyone should try to become one with God, and lead a good life.
And I neither believe this out of servitude, as I choose completely of my own volition to serve God after much, much, much introspe
