o.k., if there was a God, 1st thing, this God should have made myself (and others who think there is no God) without the sense of reasonability and a mind capable of diverting from the church-attending mass of moral belief in this God. when someone i was close to passed, though, i wished there was a God and Heaven for them to go to; contradicting myself. i, now, really don't care if there is or is not. it really doesn't effect my life while i'm living it. i waste my time thinking about other stuff. hey, that's just me though. i will never be part of a mass religion though. that's just me, too. later.

God perfection does not mean everything ought to be all rosy. When sin entered the world with the first man, Adam, pain and suffereing entered the world. Our own sin has led to pain and suffering in our lives. Nonetheless, God does use this pain and suffering for good (for the Christian especially). In the non-believer, He uses it to bring him/her to the realization of how much they need God. In the believer, God uses the pain and suffering to draw them closer to Him as well as build their character and make them holy. While this seems like an incredible power trip on God's part, one has to realize that God is worthy of all glory and praise. In order to live life in a fulfilled manner, man needs to depend on God and follow God's leading. This worthiness of God is derived from His nature: that He is perfect, pure, just, self-sufficient(we depend on food to survive, but God survives on his own with no help), eternal, loving, and on, and on, and on. Someone who fullfils all these things deserves to be praised; there is none like Him.
It is hard to see all this: most people feel as if He has abandoned them or lives simply to screw them over. Or, they simply deny His existence. But God does not seek to simply screw us over. He has a plan for each life. In fact, God desires to give each of us an abundant life, one full of promise and hope. At times perhaps some of you have prayed and not had God answer, or maybe He answered in a way you didn't like. I've had this happen to me. While we don't like this answer, or lack of it(seemingly), it doesn't mean God isn't there. God is everywhere at every moment. What it does mean is that your prayer is being answered according to God's will, not ours. God's will is being worked out constantly. All of History and the future is and will combine to lead to a specific Goal of God's: To bless the people on the earth, and in doing so, bring glory to His name. To those that have tried to seek God and feel He has never answered, don't give up. Sometimes, we ask for a sign or for something to happen, and they don't happen. God is still there and in Control. He has heard your prayer. If one asks for God to change him/her in an area of their life, God may make a big change over a short period of time, or He may choose to do things little by little, in a way that you may not be able to see easily. To see things more clearly, you might ask a friend about that thing you want changed about yourself, to see if you have made any progress. What you can't see your friend will be more likely able to. All in all, don't give up on God. If you choose to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, then i can guarentee (I will even stake my life on it) that He will change your life for the better. It may not occur in your timing, and it may not happen according to how you think it ought to be done. But God is all-knowing, so He knows what is best, Just as a GOOD and Wise father knows what is best for His child. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. I don't know what His specific plan for your life is. i don't really even know you! I do know what God has done in my own life though. He has shown me what my talents are, those things he has gifted me with. He then has provided a multitude of opportunities to cultivate these gifts and use them to serve others. This may sound like something you could do without God, but one must realize that God has given us our talents to be used for the benefit of others, so that people will praise Him for His work. My advice to you is to seek after Jesus Christ-ask Him to reveal to you your talents and provide you with opportunities. But most importantly, Seek Him as your Lord and Savior. In this way, God can begin to work in you and show you how you can use your talents in the most effective way. A key issue is that your gifts are to be used to bless others, and the only way you can have the maximum effect in the World is to Follow the opportunities God gives you. If you have urther questions, please e-mail me at daniel.a.newkirk@bubbs.biola.edu I really would love to help answer any questions you have as best i can. I hope that God will make Himself real to you. If you seek Him, you will find Him! To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

What terrible things has the Christia God done? Well, he is the all forgiving all knowing all loving God right? So instead of being kind and forgiving to his children, he decided to drown all but Noah's immediate family. Umm, can anyone say incest? That's one example...
Lets look at Moses.
He led his people (God's chosen ones) out of the tyranny of the Egyption rule. he followed God blindly and wholly. What did he do wrong? Once, only once, instead of accrediting the finding of water to God, he said "Do I have to find water for you myself?", he was forbidden to enter the promised land. Is that justice? One slip of the tongue, and the poor man never got to feel his whole life's work come into fruition. He died within sight of his goal, but was forbidden to enter it for this slight blasphamy.
lets look at Adam and Eve. God (who is omnipotent etc) obviously knew that the temptation of the tree would be too much for his children, especially with the Archangel Lucifer on the loose. Why would someone put the tree there as a temptation, if he did not want his children to fall? Adam and Eve were framed...
If they had not succumbed to the tree, they would have been submitted to other (worse and more devious) temptations. God has a cruel and unusual type of mind to come up with traps such as the tree of knowledge for his children.
What other proof do you need? Setting his children upon each other, pretending to be divine, judicious, and perfect.
All the examples that I have given are assuming that the Christian are right. If they are, then using their own arguments, their God is far, far from perfect.
This is just off the top of my head, but if I come back to it, I might think of a better worded rant about Jehova. Though they go mad they shall be sane,
Though they sink through the sea they shall rise again;
Though lovers be lost love shall not;
And death shall have no dominion.

Hey everybody. If there was really a God he would let parents force there kids to be baptized in a religon they didn't want to be a part of. That happend to me. I was baptized catholic, but I had no choice. It was either that or make my parents unhappy.

So where is the proof god exists? A few of you seem to be ministers in training. Please do not give me more dogma, more speeches, lectures, or sermons. I want any and all evidence. Here's one for you-
God by Christian defenition is all just and all merciful.
A just god gives what is due, while the merciful god does not, he is leniant, and thus, shows mercy.
Something cannot be both all merciful and just, thus logically the Christian god cannot exist, at least in the traditional defenition.

You are dodging the logic of the issue. If god is not ALL then what is he big deal. I can be just and merciful, too. But if he is ALL of both of those, he cannot exist.
I'll use the traditional version of this agrument.
Can god create a boulder he cannot lift?
If he can then he is not all powerful, if he cannot then he can't create everything.
Can god create a creature he can't love?
I expect the non-logical answer of "well, he doesn't want to." so I won't be surprised when someone says it.

Man invented god. Because they fear what they don't know,(like what happens after they die), so they made him up. To make themselves feel better.

"Okay, I see where you're going, Heathen. But consider that if there is a God, and if He is omnipotent, then He can be both just/merciful."
Yes, I can be just and merciful. So can you, big deal. But nothing can be all just and all merciful.
"I know you don't look at it that way, but as a Christian, that's the argument I can present."
That is not an argument. Saying something does not make it true. Arguments have different parts to them. You want to work through them with logic.
I do not wish to drop the subject. I want someone to stop me, or I want to destroy all logic and evidence that any of you think points to any kind of god. When you all fall back soley on faith, or belief without reason (reason as in logic, because fear is a reason for faith), then we can drop this topic.
