No one can prove there is a God... nor can they prove there isn't one.

That is correct. Also, I have to agree with whoever said above that if there is one, he has a sick sense of humor.

No, I don't believe in god.

Just like we can't prove or disprove that there isn't an invisible flying silent all knowing dragon floating around. And even if we do believe that there does exist a God then we reach the problem of which God really exists.

The only reasonable solution to this conundrum is to study and think about ethics and exist with out causing any unnecessary suffering to anyone or anything. That way what ever God that may exist that is worthy of worship will be content and so will your fellow human beings. To hell with dogmatic beliefs and fairy tales that have only led people to conflict.

I would say it wasn't really the conflict starter, just a good scapegoat. Human greed, jealousy, and hatred of those who are different are the real reasons for conflict, politics, religion, bread buttered side down etc are just scapegoats.

Philosophically, that is correct. I don't want to get into the whole theory of knowledge thing because believe me it will turn my head up.
