A long time ago, as a small child, I prayed and I begged and I pleaded for the help of God. Years passed and I received not one damn helping hand. I was told I didn't believe in him enough, I didn't have any faith. No faith? Hell, I suffered and I put everything my little heart held into God! As years wore on, I came to believe that God DOES NOT exist. Or if he does, he's some sort of sadistic pervert who takes delights in watching little children suffer! And my conclusion is... God is really a Dog - someone had a severe case of dyslexia back then.. Once we die, we die, period. No bright light to follow, no amazing transformation of our bodies, and NO miracles. A simple, dark and dank grave in which we decay and rot, becoming the mush that feeds worms and bugs. Is it any wonder bugs and worms are so rampant?! *nodnod*

thats how i feel. i to have prayed to god. begging him to change who i was. then it became asking why i was who i was. than i asked why ppl treated me so terribly for who i was. now i just wonder why the hell i'm the way i am and what the hell is wrong with god. all that shit about him loving us. yeah, sure. he loves me so much he makes it impossible for me to smile and makes it so hard that it a miracle i get out of bed sometimes, the pain paralizes me so. i have one question. the question i will ask god on judgment day, if there is such a thing. While I respect your beliefs, I find atheism is best reached through thought and reason. For every person who prays and sees nothing there is someone who prays and sees something, not that that something actually exists. It isn't until you stop praying and start thinking that you can actually support your belief.

The problem with whispers and kernal is that they are asking their god for the wrong things. Its not god's job to make life perfect, thats up to you.

Personally I believe in a higher being, though definetly not the christian god. I believe in a creator that defies logic, defies rational thought, simply because I can feel it. There is no explanation for what I feel, nor do I seek one out, I simply accept it for what it is. I ask this being for nothing, it would be arrogant to believe that its here to serve me. It watches, and when I need help, if it feels like helping, it pushes me in the right direction.

I believe in science, I agree that there is a scientific explanation for almost everything, except for one... the beginning. And since I cannot logically explain that, I listen to what my heart tells me, and it says that there is something stronger than us out there. Once science can prove me wrong, I will embrace it fully, until then I have nothing more to go on than my gut.

I've already stated my opinion in the matters of God's very existence and I've reduced myself to "masturbatory" words, as Heathen so kindly put it. The reason behind this is - I am simply bored with the topic.

Ok, so why don't I simply stop responding to the thread, you ask? Because I cannot. I have this weird obsession of posting replies after replies. Is it a cry to be heard? No. God knows I receive enough attention around here! It is simply a frantic attempt to belong. As you can see, I am new and wish to be accepted into this "forum". Does God exist? Is there any logical explaination for his very existence? I do not think this question can be answered accurately. Only those with the fullest faith might say YES! But I am a skeptic. I am a scientist. I go with the "Big Bang" theory (ohh.. I wanna bang! I wanna bang! Erm..). But then again, I am asked exactly who created the very first living cell. I say, Who CREATED GOD? And, naturally, the response is.. Nobody! My answer would be.. Men created God.. Nothing less, and nothing more.
