Maybe YOUVE been brainwashed. Work is of two kinds: first, altering the position of matter at or near the earth's surface relatively to other such matter; second, telling other people to do so.

I agree with others...if it's a recent conversion something must have clicked with him...and if they are happy and at peace...isn't that more important than what they worship? besides catholicism isn't that bad...you get to eat bread and drink wine...the wafers have a sweet taste oh and crossing yourself becomes a hard habit to break...the holy water can be fun To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. Maybe I should nail myself to a cross and call myself Jesus. I guess maybe it wouldn't be the same.
I will be okay as long as he doesn't try to convert me. | |

Give him some reading material. I can recommend some stuff if you don't have any ideas. Oh, and they are all wrong.

That's pathetic, Heathen...a really stupid insult.
Unless that was sarcasm, in which case I didn't get it, and I'll apoligize right now, because its impossible to tell on a message board.
But I digress.
I'm Christian, I have many friends who are pagan/not religious, including my girlfriend (who is the latter) and I have never once tried to convert them or push my religion on them. Their beliefs are their beliefs. Mine are mine. And I've never had a problem in this way with them.
If it doesn't interfere with your friendship, than there is not a problem. Hey, bread is a good time for me...a-woodle-oo-doo, singing bread is a good time for EVERYbody...

I went to a Catholic school for the first eight years of my schooling...and even though I hated every minute of it and didn't agree with it. They taught us to be open minded and to find our own way. I don't know if they were just more lax..we were the only private school in town that didn't have to wear uniforms, but thats beside the point. Catholicism is not as relentless as it once was, they don't go the brainwashing route, I'm afraid to inform you. They taught us the basis and background of every religion in Religion class. More to Inform than to train us to think only what they wanted. I am not biased. I am not Catholic. I was raised Catholic...and that gave me the freedom in this day and age, to pick my own path. I'd be more afraid for your friend if he was involved in some Youth Group affiliated with a Protestant organization but then again now I'm just speaking from my own experience in this one little town...and not for the many protestant religion followers who are actually moral. -nods to Vero- I am intrisically no good, I have a heart thats made of wood. I am only biding time, only reciting memorized lines. And I'm not fit to touch the hem of your garment. -Cake

A drunk is not happier than a sober man.
I used to drink alot, I should know.
I enjoy being sober. Not that I never have any bad times, but for the most part, being sober is more fun.
I used to like drugs, because they were a pain killer for me.
The lies I believed in caused me much confussion and pain.
Not that I was totally unhappy, but I was heading in that direction. I seen my parents and what happened to them. A lamp is not brought to be put under a basket, is it, or under a bed? Is it not brought to be put on the lamstand?

If it doesn't interfere with your friendship, than there is not a problem. | Manipulators try to say that talking about your beliefs is "pushing them".
No, talking about your beliefs, is talking about your beliefs.
"Pushing them" would be more physical in trying to get someone to believe in your beliefs.
Some people dont believe like I do so they call me names. That is pushing.
If someone speaks there beliefs then you have every right to say yours. Even if they dont like it and it makes them angry. A lamp is not brought to be put under a basket, is it, or under a bed? Is it not brought to be put on the lamstand?

You in no way understood the import of the little ditty or saying that Heathen posted.... it went about 20feet above your head and kept on going...... i doubt if you could find a clue in a field full of clues...... I am not even going to be so bold as to attempt to explain the meaning behind Shaws saying to you because i know for a fact that the explanation would also just flutter over your head just out of reach of your inferior intellect..... just as the original saying did.....
no wonder you are so blinded by what you read in the bible.... you see everything in the most literal of senses and miss the subtlety of wit.... I almost feel sorry for you.... yet i suppose it is not your fault...... To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. S.O.D. Just because something makes you happy doesnt make it right.
I believe that was his point.Right? A lamp is not brought to be put under a basket, is it, or under a bed? Is it not brought to be put on the lamstand?

I don't know if I'd be considered devout or not. I make mistakes, just like anyone else.
Light, we talk about our different religions a lot. We just don't push anything on each other. Hey, bread is a good time for me...a-woodle-oo-doo, singing bread is a good time for EVERYbody...

What is your definition of "pushing anything on each other"? A lamp is not brought to be put under a basket, is it, or under a bed? Is it not brought to be put on the lamstand?
